That's odd,...I don't see Toronto being any tougher than Boston or TB...just my 2 cents.

exactly, and the Jays only won 13 more games than the horrible stinking Orioles...instead of being 49 out of 1st, they were 36 ... :biglaugh:

I saw that article first thing this morning. What a way to wake up LMAO!! I don't know how Lassiter sleeps at night, or lives with himself...

Hard to believe anyone can be such a warped idiot of a tool!!
Not only suing the Yankees over Jeter being too good to ever take his position away on the roster. But he's got to drag out an NFL and NBA career too, which the Yanx kept him from, and it's all the Yankees Fault...
 :nerd: :smiley-bigcry:

That- and- I'm Batman damnit!! :roflmao::roflmao:

Imagine Lassiter being a Hall of Famer shortstop with the Yankees.... Imagine 2 HOF SS's at once...

One way to live in infamy not for your play. Honey who was that dumb shit that tried to sue the Yankees 20 years ago??? The guy that thought he was better than Jeter??? You mean the one that's working at McDonald's??

Matts, not only that but he was never any good as SS/3B or a QB...not to mention that he also tried to sue the Cincinnati Reds for essentially the same silly reasons;

Judge gets $8.5M from Yankees; Paxton $12.5M, Sánchez $5M

Judge, who made $684,300 last season, turns 28 in April and hit .272 with 27 homers and 55 RBIs in 102 games. The 2017 AL Rookie of the Year after hitting 52 home runs, he was sidelined last season between April 20 and June 21 by a strained left oblique muscle. The outfielder's power did not return until late August. He hit .265 in the postseason with one homer, two RBIs and 11 strikeouts in 34 at-bats.

Paxton, a 31-year-old left-hander, went 15-6 with a 3.82 ERA in his first season after the Yankees acquired him from Seattle, going 10-0 in his final 11 regular season starts and 1-0 with a 3.46 ERA in three postseason starts. He made $8,575,000 last year and is eligible for free agency after this year's World Series.

The 27-year-old Sanchez batted .232 with 34 homers and 77 RBIs, his defense improving at times but lapsing at others. He was out with a strained left calf between April 10 and 24 and a strained left groin between July 23 and Aug. 10. Sanchez hit .129 in the playoffs with one homer, three RBIs and 16 strikeouts in 31 at-bats. He made $669,800.

Green and Kahnle were key components of the Yankees' stellar bullpen.

Green, a 28-year-old right-hander, made his second opening day roster but was demoted to Triple-A Scranton on April 25 with a 16.43 ERA. He worked on his mechanics in three minor league appearances and returned to a big league mound on May 12. He finished 4-4 with a 4.17 ERA in 54 appearances, going 0-1 with a 3.72 ERA in 15 games as an opener - the Yankees were 11-4 in those appearances.

Kahnle, a 30-year-old right-hander, is eligible for arbitration for the third time after earning $1,387,500 and can become a free agent after the 2021 season. He was 3-2 with a 3.67 ERA in a career-high 72 relief appearances.

Holder, a 26-year-old right-hander, was a more junior member of the bullpen and went 5-2 with a 6.31 ERA in 33 relief appearances and one start. Holder, who had a salary of $580,300, did not pitch after Aug. 6 because of right shoulder inflammation.

Cessa, a right-hander who turns 28 in April, was 2-1 with a 4.11 ERA in 43 relief appearances in his first full major league season. He earned $587,975.

Montgomery, a 27-year-old left-hander, is a possibility for the back end of the Yankees rotation after returning on Sept. 23, his first big league appearances since Tommy John surgery on June 7, 2018. Montgomery made $596,600 last year while spending most of the year on the injured list.

I read that Judge and Sanchez have combined to earn less that $4 million so far in their careers. Baseball's setup of controlling players for years early is why they're willing to screw owners for every penny later.

I still think Sánchez is overpaid for a catcher at $5M lol

The generous raise Sanchez received for the mediocre services he gave were classic examples of fuck up move up, or huge salaries at false pretenses!

Just one reason I will always side with a player during contract negotiations. Combined the Yankees paid out 4 million to 2 of their biggest stars in a decade. I bet the team has made that much in Judge robes and wigs that they sell, never mind tshirts.

The Yanx need to go ahead and do like other teams have done and lock up their best young player/s with long term contracts well before they reach free agency...yeah, they'd be giving them a lot of money earlier instead of waiting but they'd also save a ton of money in the long run.

Both Judge and Torrez should be extended now...Sanchez?, no way...not yet anyway.

Speaking of Sanchez, the Yankees let let a proven product like Romine get away and make Higgy back up. Now they have signed Ianetta to a minor league deal. Bit of a head scratcher this one.

Or- jumped on Realmuto, who's making but 5.9 Million $o

I heard the Yankees wanted to deal for Realmuto but allegedly Miami wanted Sanchez and Andujar in return. Cashman wrote the big check for the pitcher but can he be a GM and trade off some of the high priced duds and improve his team. heard Smoltz praising Sanchez to the skiesI must not be watching the same games.

perhaps Austin said to Cash/Boone, I do not want to be the backup anymore, I want more playing time.

Overhaul time!
Good move!

Yankees overhaul training staff after setting injury record

https://es.pn/35Rg2Cf via @ESPN App http://espn.com/app

Yeah, Matts, I think we talked about it before and maybe it was just freakishly bad luck or it could have been poor conditioning, but regardless, the number of injuries and visits to the DL over the last 2 seasons has been unreal.

Nelson will be lucky to break camp at Charleston or Tampa. Why another 3rd baseman?

Because Cashman has a compulsive disorder for acquiring bottom barrel infielders!
You say this and yet...voight and urshela...tarpley, as a lefty specialist, lost his job due to the new laws requiring a 3 batter minimum. Guy was horrible against righties.

Don’t know if anyone noticed.........Greg Bird, oft injured ex-Yankee player, has signed a contract
with the Texas Rangers. I believe it’s for one year. Wish him the best. Yankees released Bird
for assignment November 27 when he became a free agent. Cashman & Boone had seen
too many injuries take over this guy’s baseball life.
