Oregon sports has not had a good month... Least signing melo made the Blazers interesting.

don't agree. Women's bb #1 and doing great. Men's BB, has beat Memphis and Seton Hall, barely lost to Gonzaga and North Carolina. Altman emphasizes fundamentals in early part of the year, so I expect them to get only better. Football can still beat Utah and go the Rose Bowl. What do you want; egg in your beer? :)

Didnt get to watch the 2nd half, or see the Auburn game, but Im here to say the vaunted SEC defenses arent looking so hot right now...

I meant Oregon as a State... Blazers have been down til the last 3 games. Beavers had a chance at a bowl vs Wazzu, Ducks cost themselves a shot at the CFP, Ducks womens BBall has been awesome though.

Yeh, Oregon football would have been looking good after Auburn beat Alabama today.

I'm so glad after today I can drive to my son's without fighting tailgate traffic! Coburg road is brutal during Duck games

my takes, for OSU:

Gebbia played really well, and the OSU OLine did a great job of pass protection. The Ducks didn't blitz much, but even so, there was minimal pressure on Gebbia and he didn't make mistakes.

Beaver defense was pretty good, but the Ducks spent all afternoon on offense hammering their own thumbs

and as a Duck fan I thought there were way too many WTF's? in this game. I do believe the Ducks were hungover from last Saturday's loss and were kind of lucky they didn't let ASU beat them twice. Herbert spent a lot of the time throwing the ball into the 'dirt' or sailing it into the stands. We get it Justin, you have a rocket arm...but he displayed no touch at all, and it wasn't that cold. Oregon wasted lots of field position. The vaunted Duck OLine had 3 false starts and two of them killed drives. And they did a poor job of getting to the 2nd level and re-directing LB's and safeties on running plays (again, give the Beavers some credit here). A missed FG and Redd's costly fumble were the only things that added some doubt in this game

The Duck D was good, especially considering how often they had to get right back on the field after the offense failed.

the Duck special teams won the day for them

Finally a lot of Duck fans are starting to see Herbert is not that great of a QB as he’s hyped up to be. Whoever the GM is who drafts this is going to be fired

What if he actually gets decent coaching at the next level? He sure shouldn't be starting as a rookie, but he certainly has a chance to be successful if he can get into an organization that gives him an opportunity to learn what it means to actually run a squad.

I think he may be fine at the NFL game, but just not as good of a college QB as were lead to believe.
