Every Draft, Neil waits for some left overs before making his move. I’m so excited this year. Curios who is that left over player that Neil would sign?
I wouldn’t mind adding guys like Aubrey Dawkins and Bennie Boatwright as UDFAs

I was looking at Boatwright in the mock draft for Phoenix. I needed a guard more or I would have. Lot of injuries but a lot of talent. UDFA is perfect for him

At least he plays good defense and can handle the ball, if the price is a second rounder it’s fair.
Compare him to ET.

Frank - better defender, better ball handler, much better contract

ET - better at running offense

Both poor shooters

Frank only 21 by the start of next season. He could still develop a shot at least.

Turner is a better offensive player though, his post game is actually fairly strong.

If Sacramento wants a first round pick... I’d try ET+25 for 40, 47, and 60.

Then target Jalen McDaniels, Louis King, and a big at 60.

This guy <<< was a #25 pick (2nd round) in 1971.
My grumpy comment of the day.

I would love to see 2 mock drafts side-by-side. One based on hypothetical upside and the other on actual on court performance. Fast forward 3 years, and see which more accurately reflects NBA success.

Sneer if you want, but looking at this draft I see a number of "low upside" guys (EG Cam Johnson, Grant Williams, Thybulle) who are going to get drafted late and have a good chance of out-performing the "projects" drafted ahead of them.

It would be different in a draft with a deeper talent pool, but everyone admits this draft is very top-heavy. A lot of teams are going to wind up wasting picks on the next Meyers Leonard reaching for "high upside" that just isn't there!

I will now get off my soapbox.

Couldn't you just do this for past drafts? You won't have to wait 3 years.

Rui Hachimura is a freak. This may be an unpopular opinion but I would trade Collins for Hachimura.
The knock on him is that he has the defensive instincts of Meyers Leonard. (Just what I've rea
He bears a really striking resemblance to Kawhi in my mind. Prolly going lottery. Wonder what it would take to climb up.

The knock on Hachimura (from what I've read) is that he has the defensive reactions/instincts of Meyers Leonard.

ESPN's coverage of the draft is mostly pointless . You wont be missing much. NBA TV should have draft analysis and twitter is prolly the best place to follow anyway.

It is being covered by Hoopsjock and BonesJones on Youtube, starting at 4:20 pm pacific time. After you click on the play button, click on where it says "Watch this video on YouTube".

New Orleans have got themselves a great deal here.
