In the 2nd round, I'm expecting the Packers to select a WR from Ole Miss: AJ Brown or DK Metcalf.
It's certainly possible but more likely those two are off the board by the time the Packers pick (they are 12th in the 2nd round).

Yeah, but I'm still hoping. Don't give me a bummer Day 2 Draft!

Dolphins just got Rosen for pick #48. It pretty much had to be done by Arizona but damn that looks bad.
The Cardinals will regret this move so much, I think Rosen is going to be much better than Murray. Honestly, Murray has the highest bust potential I’ve ever seen go #1, ever.

That dude is a BALLER and the same size as the highest paid player in the NFL.

I’m in the boat of understanding why the Giants took Jones>Haskins.

Jones has three years of experience in one of the best conferences in the country, great size, probably interviewed well, and no pressure to start day 1 with Eli there. Haskins while very talented only played one year, and while that was an outstanding statistical year he also had some of the best skill position players in the country next to him, a good o-line, Urban Meyer as a coach, and a system that covers up a lot of warts for QBs. I can’t remember the last time Ohio State produced a quality NFL starting QB?

You trade down for a guy like that man...

They wasted the potential value of that pick. They could've gotten that dude on day 2.

Do not compare him to Wilson, that’s unfair to Murray. He was a great player at Oklahoma last year, but once again let’s be real here... one year, lots of weapons, good head coach, extremely undersized. It’s probably unfair to Murray but his media appearances were historically awful too. Also, who’s to tell if he won’t just leave football to play baseball after 2-3 seasons if things go south fast?

Bottom line, dangerous pick by Arizona. Even more dangerous considering they dealt Rosen who already had a season under his belt and has great potential (even if he is a jackass off the field).

It’s the NFL though, if he is YOUR guy, draft him before anyone else wants to. In all honesty, I expected the Patriots to pick Jones or perhaps move up and get him.

Only comparing size.

Rosen had a terrible season last year. Looking like a bust too...

It's dumb. You trade down and get another asset.

"It's the NFL though" isn't a good excuse for making a stupid move.

Steve Emtman says he weighs more than both so he's definitely the "biggest" bust.
In fairness, that dude's body just broke down (possibly from extreme 'roid use), but yes - a bust nonetheless. Bosworth would like to say hi, too.

This is a good point. There are definitely some. For me I never once thought Russell looked very good, at least Leaf in College looked alright (IMO).
That's the difference. Leaf was a GREAT college QB. Don't forget, it was basically a 50-50 split amongst the scouting community who they liked better between Leaf and Manning that year.

To me saying, "It's the NFL" is even more reason to drop down and try to pick up more assets. Like it or hate it the NFL is about value, you have to get as much value as you can out of every asset you have. He would've been available later.

I don't remember it that way. Several scouts had Manning pegged as a football guy through-and-through. He lived and breathed football.

Context matters. Rosen didn’t have anyone outside of old Larry Fitzgerald, David Johnson (coming off injury), and a rookie Christian Kirk. Also, coaching staff was awful, offensive line was bad (sacked 45 times). You don’t give up on someone after a year.
