Yeah i grew up there and graduated from there. They are tearing it down and building a better school. It was time.

They finished up Franklin High School a couple years ago along with Roosevelt and the Franklin campus is a thing of beauty as it was always one of the most beautiful high schools in Portland and now it's all modernized in and out. Grant is being finished up this summer and will reopen this fall and will probably do the tour when they open the campus up to see the difference of when I went there.. Sounds like Madison will be doing the trek to Marshall this year following Franklin 4 years ago and then Grant 2 years ago. . Kellogg Middle School was torn down last year and they are now working on building a new school there and it will be reopened in a couple years after being closed for several years. Nice to see the PPS district upping the ante and giving the kids a more modern high school with all the new amenities

Yep, Grant is 99% done. My daughter will be a freshman there this fall, can’t wait, 4th generation General.
September 7th is the open house by the way.

I just got back in town. Sounds like my nephew has a team again this year. Last year they won their division and he was really stoked. So he is wanting me to get there and watch him.
If i can get there at least one of the days i most certainly will have to try and stop in and see one of the games you guys play.

Thanks. I'll mark the date on my calendar. Your daughter is lucky she didn't have to go through the relocation to Marshall trek and can start and finish at one school and a new one at that. My mom and 3 sisters all went to Grant as well and my son's fiance is a Grant graduate.

83' for me. I lived on Rocky Butte. Went to Jason Lee for K-8.
I believe you are talking about Glen Haven School. Not there anymore. Used to be a decent area but over the years it went a bit down hill. Seems like they are trying to clean it back up again.
