One of the best places to get a run in back in the day man. There, Oregon, Wallace Park.Lost your Cred when you said Lauralhurst was Nice. Obviously haven't hooped in a Looooong while.
Fair enough pack the paint expect misses, and you guys are big enough to do what you want in the paint vs most of us. Seems reasonable enough. We never said we wouldn't give up open looks though. Outdoors there isn't really a single person who has consistently knocked down outside jumpers (except for when Bones just happened to get streaky when he played me) so it really doesn't matter how open the looks are.
I care more about the level playing surface with 3 point lines than the rims.Fair enough pack the paint expect misses, and you guys are big enough to do what you want in the paint vs most of us. Seems reasonable enough.
BTW its been a while since Ive played at the TVrec center and those rims might be the hardest substance known to man, still fun though.
The courts there are pretty good. Surface is good. Even the hoops are nice the rims arent bad, just took a few shots to get used too.I care more about the level playing surface with 3 point lines than the rims.
Sorry but 2 on 3 and the 3 should get good shots like 90% of the A 3 pointer is 23 feet (ok 24) even my fat self could stand on the corner or a wing and hit open shots a pretty good percentage of the time. Again not trying to disrespect you two, Ive played with HJ a couple times now and that size + strength is legit. Just dont really see how two guys could keep 3 guys from getting good looks. You guys might be fast but even NBA guys arent faster than the ball.

Hey random question but Ive been trying to find the official rules on screens and google hasnt been kind to me. Do you know where I can find them?THPRD is a good place to play.
Hey, If I go make a shared calendar for us to schedule these things would anyone use it?
I would walk 500 miles to play with you guys.
Lets do it!!!Next Saturday?

Decided to come shoot around for a few minutes. Court isn't half bad.
This is gonna turn into another "contest". How about you choose 2 other guys that have shown up (except you can't pick @dviss1) and play us 2 on 3? Losers buy lunch for the winners afterwards.

There are three other courts behind it too. It's a really nice park. I work near there and most of the time it's packed, I was surprised how few people were there yesterday.BTW, half bad? We dont have shit like that on the East side that I know of. I was on point when I said the West side is ritsy.
That's okay. Us East siders don't mind taking it over for a few hours.

Been really thinking about it and by my eyes I honestly cant tell why sometimes they call an offensive foul and sometimes (rarely) a defensive foul, then what is the rule on guys who are just walking but obviously picking off the defender. Instead of complain about it, kind of want to know the official rules for it.
Weather is supposed to be in the 80's next weekend, so maybe later is better?
I can make any time on the weekend with a day or two notice as to when (barring a home Blazer game, like most of us).
@VanillaGorilla I scrolled, but think I missed it. You said next weekend you couldn't get there until 6 or something?
Who is wanting to play and has soem time this weekend? Post the day and time frames that are open and @TorturedBlazerFan and I will try to put together a group calendar initially updated, we could then continue adding to, entering free days and times able to play and see what we can make work based off the calendar.

oOPS. dAMN CAPS LOCK WHEN HITTING THE a.
And?!It was my wife's birthday
Seems like they could call a lot of offensive fouls for the screener not being set if they wanted too. Im sometimes really confused how one screen is called, then the next play the screener will do basically the same thing and not get called...It's just a blocking foul. The same rules apply. Except you must be set. Also, when setting a blind screen (from behind) you must give the defender time and distance to get around the screen (no contact from behind at all until the defender initiates it).
You don't have to be set to earn a charging call.
And?!
Ok?Says the unmarried guy.
Sigh. It was a joke dude. I get it.Exactly. Only once your married will you truly get it.![]()
