he looks like he's gonna be a monster. Moving around centers like they're ragdolls-- a 19 yr old can't be that strong. Needs to figure out his weaknesses and get in better shape, and once he does, he's gonna be unstoppable.
Very athletic and can jump. When he sheds a few pounds and gets in shape he’ll be a handful.

I've never seen Barrett shoot well in the NCAA. Nice to see he's taken that same busted shot to the NBA.

So, not Caleb Swanigan?
Caleb and Zion have similar ball-handling, shooting, and passing ability. Both are undersized PFs. Both have issues with their weight.

It’s weird seeing Duke players with such a lack of fundamentals, Coach K be lacking.

The thing about many of these guys is they've all gotten by, by just being crazy Athletic for most of their career's they've all got a lot of development to do.

He's gone full John Calipari, recruits a ton of one and done's doesn't really coach much anymore. Watch Duke, they basically just out talent teams these days.

Knox has a Rip Hamilton’s game in Tayshaun Prince’s body

jesus another earthquake is rocking cali and las vegas

They just had an earthquake at Thomas and Mack during the Pels/Knicks game.

He won't move Nurk, he'll spin move on dunk on him. His speed and quick jump are easy to see already.

I think some people just see what they want to see because Williamson looks like such a freakish athlete and seems likable. I didn't see anything in the first half that comes close to what you saw. He looked really slow to me. He looked winded. The only times he looked engaged was when he had a clear path for a dunk.

He got three rebounds in the first half. Three. He got blocked at least three times. The Knicks summer league team has two guys over 220 pounds and two guys taller than 6-9. They have five guys who played on the worst team in the NBA last season. Because of that, they might have seven guys who will play for one of the worst teams in the NBA this season. Knox should be outstanding, and Robinson is a real up-and-comer. And, of course, you have Barrett. But saying you saw Williamson do anything in the first half that leads you to believe he will be abusing Nurk in the manner you say is simply laughable.

It’s such a shame, I miss when Duke bad guys like Redick, Singler, Gerald Henderson, McRoberts, Curry, the Plumlee’s, etc.

Zion is both a better ball handler and passer and just a much better decision maker overall.

Defensively, there's no comparison.

Even if he's never a number one option on a championship team due to his jumper and lack of half-court skill with the ball, he's literally guaranteed to be efficient on good usage through his finishing, transition play and likely elite foul drawing.

I mean I dont know what it feels like there now, but they should just cancel the games the rest of the night. not worth risking anything

Problem is, he'll have serious issues if he keeps the weight necessary for him to move or score through Nurkic (which I still don't think is all that possible for him in the first place).

I was saying ever since all the hype started about making him the top pick that I think his weight would be an issue on his longterm athleticism and possibly his career, and I already had questions about his lateral mobility. If he doesn't get his weight down to at least 265-270, he's going to have real problems. I bet he's 300-310 right now.

He's quick and has the hops of reaction time of young Amare. He's not slow, just hasn't played much organized ball in the last few months since he's been on a non-stop PR tour. His body of work at Duke is enough to show that he's not some sluggish oaf. He will be a wrecking ball in the paint.

Zion’s lower body is massive, obviously that’s where all his power comes from. I don’t know how much weight he can lose before he becomes less effective.

I feel like a big reason his ball handling is better is simply because he moves his body better. Caleb was a good passer. Obviously they're worlds apart but it's interesting to think of what Caleb would be like with that level of athleticism.

He going go against just as strong and just as quick. But right now he not in shape to play basketball. If I was New Orleans brass he wouldn't play another game this summer until got in shape you don't want serious injury.

If Caleb had a shred of athleticism he’d be Boris Diaw at the very least.

Watching the Spurs summer league team is hilarious, they are running just really pretty offensive sets still but the players have like no talent so it’s like watching a mastermind coach a bunch of kids at a fat camp.
