Idk man, personally id take Jackson over Little any day of the week.

If they came out at the same time maybe but Jackson has had so many opportunities to contribute and hasn't done so. He was even in the D League last season.

Great deal for Hood. Its unlikely the difference from 6 to 10 million hurts the Blazers in any way. Nonguaranteed on year 2 is great for the team.

I've been very pessimistic on Hood chance to return to form, but this contract gives Blazers upside if he does come back and nearly no downside if he doesnt.

Money wise, it doesn't really matter because the second year is non-guaranteed.

But I was hoping to have a 10 million dollar contract to trade, and because this is a 1+1 it means that he effectively has a non-trade clause.

Exactly. Honor the commitments, and contracts like this are assets beyond just the player itself.

The math works out perfectly, too. $6mil times 175% is $10.5mil.
