I'm already looking forward to the 2021 Season. I don't expect this Season to be anything more than a glorified Spring Training, with a ridiculous Post Season.

OT with a runner on 2nd isn't fit for T-Ball.

The deeper into Mannfred's tenure, the more my distaste grows, and trust diminishes.

The Owners would be better off financially off to of called this season off.
Performance(s) and accomplishments by individuals and teams will be meaningless.

Who will be the one to hit .400 over 60 games?
Players who've done as much:
Chipper Jones, 2008: .409
Tony Gwynn, 1997: .403
Larry Walker, 1997: .417
Paul O’Neill, 1994: .417
Rod Carew, 1983: .411
Hank Aaron, 1959: .402
Ted Williams, 1948: .412

There are 4 active players to hit .400 over any span of 60 team-games within a single season.
Those hitters are-
José Altuve, in both 2016 and 2017
Joey Votto in 2016
Andrew McCutchen in 2012
Albert Pujols in 2003
Free-agent Hanley Ramírez, (who has yet to officially retire), also did so, in 2009.

I mean the Bums vs the Yankees in the most meaningless W.S. in the history of MLB!
 
I've got mixed feelings about this season. On one hand I'm happy just to watch Baseball again, but on the other hand the credibility/legitimacy of who wins it all is diminished by playing only 60 games.

So again, I've got strong feeling both ways.
 
Baseball has been absent since March 2020.......and yet my life goes on, whether they are
playing or not.....sure, I miss the game, but not all the bullshit that seems to go on forever.
Sports fans will be facing a “new” way of life......both summer & fall....where sports will
be nothing like it used to be.
 
I remember a quote from a book I read many years ago; "For every man that walks in sunlight, another man walks in a denser shade".

And in a way, that kinda applies to two different teams this season. On one hand the Yanx got a huge break because the layoff allowed several injured players to heal up...on the other hand the Astros are getting somewhat of a pass on their cheating fiasco because the covid coverage overtook the coverage of the cheating Astros..

Had another heart episode with congested heart failure since May 31st. Been hospitalized since, but now
in rehab and on the mend. Looks like I missed a lot of ‘bullshit’ across our country. Lil, I will join you
and load up as soon as I get home!

This season is going to be a real joke in many ways. I only hope any and all records for one season have huge asterisks on every accomplishment, (correct me if I'm wrong).

Can anyone hit .400 over 60 games?

There will be no winners with this Season, everyone loses. Teams will take a financial hit and larger losses more-so than if they'd just closed the doors on this season.

I can do without the Extra Innings rule for 2020, i.e. put a man on 2nd base to start each inning!
Why don't they just put a full count on each and every batter in OT, or hell.... give everyone a full count from the 1st pitch of the 1st inning, and we could have Tripleheaders daily, give us a 162 game season, ah hell, give us 180 games in 60 days!!

A Post Season (imo) makes no sense this year. I don't see how any team can be considered legitimate over 60 games, not enough to call a World Series Victor! that much is laughable...

....^^^^ exactly, the punishment was laughable to begin with, (less than a slap on the hand) and now a lesser season only cheapens the entire cheating scandal(s). There will be no justice for Fans of the game.

Let the garbage can banging Ass-tros be punished, berated, agitated, desecrated, and everything "ated" under the Sun.

On a serious note, hope you're getting stronger Lion, stay out of the Cage and Roar ... until they come and sedate you!
Hospitals are no place to rest, and I hope you've had a singular room, without a room-mate begrudging you of peace, or a room-mate asking you if you're going to eat all of your meal, and when you say yes, they ask you if they can have your jello, cottage cheese or applesauce snoring, farting, blowing their noses through all hours of the night, or god forbid a roomie that keeps the TV on all day and night long on nothing but shit-shows, always shit-shows. :shitstorm:

after I got back from DE, we moved north from san diego to take over the fil ranch near pismo. consulting for biotech start-ups from home, business has been on the uptick thanks to SARS-Cov-2. ranch life, horses and our dobie pup keeping us pretty busy. otherwise killin time on the internet playing a video game or trying to root out all the bullshit science on twitter about coronaviruses (like the common cold), vaccines, and wearing masks. other than that, longing for simpler times when baseball way played, cops were respected and looters/rioters were shot. I can dream...
