Syracuse guard Tiana Mangakahia had just completed her junior year when she was diagnosed with Stage Two breast cancer, a shock for a healthy young woman with no family history. She had to undergo double mastectomy and chemo, but never missed class and attended every game in street clothes. In February 2020 she was declared cancer free and medically cleared to play. Then everything shut down. Finally she's in NCAA. Syracuse handled first round opponent easily. Their reward is a date with UConn.
