Bobby Portis and PJ Tucker are FAs this summer.

Portis is a winner. Sign him up.

I think the key to winning in a market like Portland is finding undervalued talent and getting them at a decent price. So many options from there.

Paying guys like Portis/Tucker a ton of money now would not help us in my opinion. Sadly, we might be in that position with Norm as well.

But also they had a coach who was constantly adapting. Playing new guys each time because you prepared them all season.

Stotts did no such thing. Not at all. He had his rotation fixed no matter the outcome.

The amount of Bud haters in Milwaukee were very very close to the amount of Stotts haters here. They were saying the same things too.

Bud just has more talent.

The size thing is in your guy's head. It is all about talent and skill Again Cp3 was the smallest guy on the court and as always played well. Holiday plays great D but shot poorly in 4 of the 6 games tonight. I will take Ayton over Lopez any day. Yes, Tucker is thick but very short for his position.
Middleton at 6'7" has the same wingspan as NP.

So basically we are talking about one guy that absolutely dominated because of his size and talent.
Bottom line they were more experienced and talented.

They will resign with Milwaukee
They only have non-bird rights on Portis so unless they use the taxpayer MLE on him which is the same thing we can offer, then the can only offer him 4.5M. The question really is what our team looks like. If our roster allows us to offer him a starting role when Milwaukee can't... he might come here.

53-37 advantage on the boards. That’s size.

So if the Blazers makes the Finals… where is Portland’s Deer District to put all that 65k fans?

Other than the Parking structures, surface lots could be used as well. Take Max.

Not always. You put two 3 pt shooting teams on the court and I guarantee that the quick explosive guards and wings get all the long rebounds.
Hell Holiday had more rebounds tonight than Middleton Porter and Lopez. Some guys have a knack for the ball. RF Westbrook is another good example
