Game Thread 2022-23 Game #1 - BLAZERS @ KINGS - OCTOBER 19, 2022 - WEDNESDAY - 7:00 PM (PDT) ROOT

It's going to take a while to get used to a PF on this team not being an uncoordinated waste of a roster spot.

They were passing a lot earlier.....getting good looks.
Too much 1-on-1 is letting the Kings back in the game.

This feels more like what I expected.

Kings playing terrible, blazers doing well (for their standards) and STILL losing lol

The key to this Kings run is we are gunning and taking TERRIBLE FUCKING SHOTS.

Some things never change.

Dame and Grant getting 'their own'.....has erased a double-digit lead.

Dame’s defense leaves a lot to be desired. Dying on screens, out of position and late to rotate…

I see their 3 point defense is in mid-season form.

You'd think every player is a hall of fame 3 point shooter when they play Portland.

Dame still rusty. His shot isn't there and when it's not, I wish he wouldn't go into 'gotta get mine' mode.
His defense is still....not very good.

Denver and Phoenix are getting their butts kicked by the Jazz and Mavs....this is why I don't bet on sports.

Old habits and selfish play is why we will never have nice things. Played as a team the entire first quarter, moved terrifically and shared the basketball.

Then starting jacking shots from bad spots with a hand in the face. The type of misses that produce long rebounds and points the other way.

Blazers offense looks like shit. No motion and no ball movement. Just stand around and wait for Dame to do something.

Was this team better when Dame was injured and guys like Simons/Nurk/Hart all shared in the offense?
