Be prepared for the announcement GP2 will be out for the year. This isn’t normal to be told he’ll be ready by opening night to damn near the new year now to be out.. clearly a major setback has happened

Hopefully it gives some guys a chance to rest and heal up and for the team to get in a couple of good practices.

Blazers Have Had Toughest Schedule in the NBA So Far

Go Blazers!
This doesn’t surprise me at all. When the Bucks were undefeated (they are a top-3 team IMO) they had the softest schedule Ive ever seen. Nice to know our SOS will go down as we get players back from injury and gel more. People forget, we are younger than 25 of the 30 teams in the league. Its a borderline miracle Billups got the early buy-in on effort from such a young squad. I predict it will return in spades with the return of Dame, GPII and a winning streak.

The way this place puts Payton on this pedestal. Not sure how or why. You guys really think he is going to help this team THAT much? All I keep reading is wait til he gets back….

we might win this game, but only cause utah jazz has started tanking

Go say that to his face.

I'm wondering what happened last night. I'm hoping the team got to take a night off and run around a bit. Eat, Drink, and be Merry. Kind of seems like they needed to just break away for a bit.
Rest up and put a good game together tomorrow.

Is this a “Must Win”? I feel we are overdue for a Sharpe announcing himself to the League game and I’m just going to keep calling for it until I speak it into existence!

Looks like Lillard, Payton, Johnson, Hart, Little, and Eubanks are all out. Eubanks might play.

Shit.

What is going on with these hip injuries? We have 3 Blazers with hip injuries.

Shit.
That is ridiculous. One healthy guard besides Sharpe?

So a 3 guard rotation of Ant, Sharpe, and Winslow.
I would start Grant at SF backed up by Brown (and tell him not to shoot from the outside)
Watford at PF, backed up by Walker
If Eubanks can't go......maybe Badji with a few minutes?

If Eubanks is still switching to defend guards, Payton won't help at all.
If that BS comes to an end and Payton is defending and stays with the ball there could be a noticeable improvement.

Just do more of this.
If letting Sharpe perfect his ball handling and finishing comes at the cost of games we might lose anyway, it needs to happen.
Because there's no way he's going to be easily stopped.
The next time he tries that move it might be a turnover, or it might be a jaw-dropping dunk.

It's interesting the Blazers waived Sarr who would definitely play if healthy, to sign Badji who might not see the floor this season.

I say go with whichever has the highest ceiling. Is either better than Watford right now for our 3rd string center? Sarr might have played if healthy, but is he now?
This is where the scouts need to be effective.

If we can score 13 points every 2:30, I like our chances.

Great start!

our lineup this game and the last one:

PG -6'4
SG - 6'6 and strong
SF - 6'8 and long
PF - 6'8
C - 6'11 and strong

kinda nice not being undersized

their floor design and the wood panels going sideways instead of in alignment with the boundaries of the court are giving me a headache.

whoever designed this needs a kick in the pants.

We know that markannen is their most dangerous 3 pt shooter, yet Winslow gives him too much room twice already.

Apparently Blazers have been told to ignore Vandrbilt on the perimeter. Has anyone checked his % on corner threes?
