Overall, the defense is still in free fall. Below our average defense over the last 10 years.

Not ideal. Billups put him in 2 min earlier in the 4th than he did against Denver. I'm sure he wished he would've played him 41 against Denver.

This has always been the problem. You have to run Dame into the ground for the roster to have a chance at a decent playoff seed. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Billups was asked about this. Said he put him in at regular time and he isn't afraid to put him in at 10:00 mark if he needs to, as long as it's not on a back-to-back.

Expect this to continue.

who is "shitting" on bench scoring?

and +/- is a nearly useless stat for a single game; case in point, Sharpe led the team in +/- tonight at +18. In the win at Utah when Ant scored 45, he was +5; Jabari Walker went 0-4 and led the team with +12

you literally posted a massive screenshot showing our bench scoring ranking. do you really need an explicit answer to your first question?

we won this game because of Eubanks and our bench primarily. +/- reflected the eye test tonight.

We have the worst bench in the nba. Gary “Festus Ezeli” Payton is not going to solve that.

LOL....WUT?...do you think I made the fucking numbers up? People were talking about bench scoring so I decided to add the context of the actual bench scoring numbers across the league. How the fuck is that "shitting" on bench scoring? You haven't explained that. It wasn't about bench defense or bench rebounding or bench FG%. It was simply PPG for the 30 NBA benches. You know...numbers. I don't know why you got so offended by it
 
Chauncey brought Dame and Nurk in about 3 minutes earlier in the fourth than he usually would because the lead was bleeding away. They came into the game about with about minutes left..the radio guys mentioned how they had to come in early

Tonight? He brought them in 2 minutes earlier than Denver, but not because the lead was bleeding away. We were up 2 at the start of the quarter, got up 9 (without Dame), and when Dame came in, we were still up 7.

we won the game, thats a good part, but if keep playing like that, were gonna end up in the play-in and anything can happen there

chauncey billups has spoken about offense and defense a lot, but im not seeing anything of it being implemented, its the same old, the only difference is that we have a new head coach and ant instead of cj mccollum

"my turn, your turn", one on one is NOT how you should play bball, few games ago dame said it takes team/collective to win and then he and ant came out and absolutely privatized the game

either theyre stupid and not realizing that you cant win playing like that or theyre just dont give a fuck and keep on doing whatever they want cause they can

legacy thing has ruined bball, players dont play to win, they play for their legacy, they want to get "theirs" and theyre happy, win or lose

Think it had more to do with drew having to leave the game. If you have Nurk in there they kind of need Dame as well.

So it can't be that the other teams have looked at what the Blazers have as far as players and have scouted their talent and know what works and doesn't work against them?

It has to be that they are "Stupid" and or "Don't give a fuck" and the current state of the Players involved is all about "legacy" and them getting theirs.
 
My opinion on this is this team needs to continue to work on things that can help defensively. Yes adding Payton will help a bit.
I'm hoping they are looking at options to add some Length/Height. This team is playing small. Seems to me like teams have figured out how to score on the Blazers taking advantage of the size.
I saw some good things by Sharp last night. He is doing some things better on defense and he is seeing his opportunities. Kind of think the other players around him have seen some opportunities as well.

You keep saying that over and the over. Every win counts the same so yes, the standings mean something. You can’t be in 10th all season and the jump to 1st in the last month of the season.
