Some say it’s because he’s still making 5 million a year to enjoy himself.
You do realize he'd still get paid that if he coached, right?

Kind of the point. First off Stotts is no longer here but you have to admit the Blazers could score the ball when he was.Probably. Not like Chauncey is coaching defense.
This whole discussion began because I asked “What happened to Nurk’s rim protection?” I guess you shouldn’t join the conversation if you don’t know what is being discussed.Didn't say anything even relating to Nurk. Just comparing guards letting people blow by them by design to funnel to Gobert versus our guards just doing it...because.
You spamming this is getting about as annoying as the kind of spamming @AldoTrapani does. Just sayin'.Not worried. No one should be. It's December.
Are the Hornets a dumpster fire of a team? Hayward and Ball have been hurt most of the season. Healthy, they are playoff caliber.
I don’t think you made the point you think you did. He is enjoying his life and family without working. Any job would have to be perfect if it was me?You do realize he'd still get paid that if he coached, right?
exactly. our defense is designed to meet guards at the level. but our guards do such a terrible job navigating screens that it's an endless parade of opponents driving at nurk while he scrambles to get back to the rim.Didn't say anything even relating to Nurk. Just comparing guards letting people blow by them by design to funnel to Gobert versus our guards just doing it...because.

When will you be worried if the poor play continues? Do you think we have a switch we can flip in March? If we went to Finals last year, I’d agree with giving them the benefit of the doubt. But this team has proven nothing. Not worried. No one should be. It's December.
Playing "harder" does not always mean playing better if you're not playing smart.I do understand Nurk is bigger and has more talent but Eubanks plays so much harder than Nurk ever does. Why?
Hayward has played 70+ in 7 seasons and 66 in the 2011-12 66 game season.Hayward has been hurt most of his career. Good point, as of late, not many teams are dumpster fires....against the Blazers.

Yes but making $5 million while NOT working may be more enjoyable to him. That was the point. You do realize he'd still get paid that if he coached, right?
You seem to have missed the questionStotts records after 33 games (of which he had zero season where Dame missed 12 games in that stretch):
19-14
14-19
19-14
17-16
13-20
13-20
26-7
26-7
18-15
Take away the two years of 26-7, which had a significantly better roster AND a much younger and healthy Damian, and Stotts had an average of 16 wins and 17 losses.

I’ll give you that but effort makes a difference.Playing "harder" does not always mean playing better if you're not playing smart.
We were 26-7 TWICE? That can’t be true.Stotts records after 33 games (of which he had zero season where Dame missed 12 games in that stretch):

And he is healthy NOW which was my point. And not been 100% much of that time. He's played over 52 games once in the last 6 seasons. Some of those were shortened seasons, but he hasn't been fully healthy in a long time.
