Nurk's certainly not the reason we're down like this early ... not being able to make open shots is the reason for that.

But the whole whining about every call gets old. What gets even older is when you let an athletic 280-pound guy get inside position on you, get the ball, and you commit a useless foul when you know we don't have anyone else that can guard that guy.

How long do you have to be playing in the NBA to understand when waving the white flag on defense for a possession or two isn't the smarter thing to do? Don't airball a 3 and get beaten up the floor and then commit a foul when you have no chance to defend the shot early in the game.

The first game against Dallas was really solid. He only had 21 points but it was on 12 shots, he had 5 assists and 0 turnovers and he got 2 blocked shots.

If you're only interested in scoring he had a 30 point game nine games ago on the second of this month against Detroit.
 
if nurk got away with the kinda contact that embiid is getting away with at the rim, he'd be on an all nba defense team
 
If the Blazers could just make their layups they would be winning this game.

Nurk was out in 4 minutes. Yes that is a huge reason they are down.
 
Sometimes when I am deciding if a player is good I imagine if all 5 players on the court were the same player. I.e. 5 LBJ's would be unstoppable, 5 Embiid's would work damn well too. 5 of Simons would just be a TO/chuck-fest.

ya cuz our coach didn't make a single adjustment outside of subs. seems like yet another game when he has the team woefully underprepared.
 
I wonder if a team has ever won a game shooting under 25%?
 
We never do anything out of a timeout. It’s damning of Billups.

They have a much better roster than we do. We weren't favored to win this game but I don't think anyone thought we'd be shooting this poorly.

You wouldn't need 5 Simons - they would rarely pass to each other.

I wasn't in the timeout so I can't confirm what was said.

However, if what you said is true, all the more reason not to burn early timeouts.
