Hawks are inconsistent. Small ball, shot heavy backcourt, this game should be one helluva matchup!

Atlanta Hawks
25-25 (21-27-2)236.5+11040.4%
Portland Trail Blazers
23-26 (25-23-1)-2.0-13059.6%

Bookies like us as a slight favorite but lately that does not mean much. Toronto game was another one where we laid an egg. Looked at team states against the 30 teams. We are in the middle of the pack in almost every category. Seems to be the mantra of this team. There is a 3 1/2 game spread between the 4th and 13th place team in the west. It will be interesting to see of these teams which ones actually make a move to get better to make the playoffs with a chance to win. Someone is going to step up and make some significant moves to improve their team. Are the owners happy once again to be in the middle of the pack with the seats in the arena being filled in Portland.

If I say I think we'll get a W....it's gonna be whack-a-mole all over again.

Let's talk about something else.....

They get this win that is 3 of the last 4. They do that the rest of the way this season and they are in good shape.

Lets see?
23-26 is 49 games. Leaves 33 games to play.
If they win 3 of 4 for the rest of the season they win 24 of those games. could be 25 but i hedged low.
24-9 leaves them at 47-35 or 12 games over .500

Not gonna happen right?

Is 20-13 possible? 19-14? More probable.
Hmm?
That would leave them at 42-40.
Not a great season but not as bad as many as saying?

Bottom line. If they are going to turn this season around they better start winning.
Not sure they can wait 10 days to get serious?

I didn't want to start a thread nor could I find one to comment about this on so I chose this one.

Yahoo Mock Draft:

9. Portland Trail Blazers: F Jarace Walker
Ht./Wt.: 6-8, 240 pounds | Class: Freshman | Houston

Walker just had a season-high 25 points in a win over Cincinnati with several NBA scouts in the stands. He has one of the most NBA-ready bodies in this draft class with his solid 240-pound frame and moves well for his size. Walker's versatility to drop down as a five in a small-ball lineup and quickness to step out and guard the wing makes him one of the most intriguing players in the draft.

-----------------------------------------

I watched this game and was all over this guy. I would love him to Portland. He is only going to get better and I hope he does that in Portland.

Okay back to the Hawks game comments. Thanks. :)

Young out.....this really should be a win, but with this group, you never know.

With any team on any night you never know.

If you did, sports betting wouldn't be a thing.

Why ever in any circumstance say someone should win? It makes 0 sense.

"Should" is not a guarantee. And that's why betting has odds.
Teams like the title Bulls and Warriors 'should' have won almost every game. It doesn't mean they would, or did, but often when they lost, it was an upset.

The spread before the tip had implied odds of 57% chance the Blazers will win. Up 5% before Young was ruled out.

It's sad that the team has played so badly in the first quarter lately that this is considered a good start. Sure offensively we're doing what we want but we're letting them get what they want too.

You didn't expect us to all of a sudden become a much improved defense did you?

You didn't expect us to all of a sudden become a lockdown defense did you?
Nope, just pointing out that we don't have the highest of expectations, especially to start halves lately.

Very true... nor should we!
