I don't know what was more embarrassing, our rebounding or our play-by-play announcer, but that was something to endure, not enjoy.

Well we got the win and Ant made a big shot to give us a small lead at the end...can't remember the last time he did that...Hart was amazing on thee boards and had a bunch of assists...swiss army knife....Dame in allstar form droppin' another 40 piece...I'll take it!

Neither team played great defense and POR couldn't buy a board but a win is a win. I'll take it any day of the week.

watching the Blazers is like playing bop-a-mole. They only had 8 turnovers but give up 17 offensive rebounds to the Hawks. Capela had 10; Blazer team had 3.

nice to se a win but I didn't see anything in this game that makes me think the Blazers have solved any riddles

Dame over the last 12 games:

34 & 8
30 & 5
50 & 3
36 & 10
40 & 6
44 & 8
25 & 11
24 & 10
37 & 12
60 & 8
30 & 3
41 & 6

that's a 38 & 8 average....washed

the level of irrational hate people have for the guy is sad

It for sure is a thing... Though there is a bunch of irrational hate for a lot of members of the organization year and and year out. Players, coaches, etc.

His trade value will never be higher LOL

You actually think we beat those teams on the road with the way they’re playing?

We had to play damn near perfect to beat the short handed hawks today as well. Dame is amazing this year is the sad part. Dude just gets better and better and we don’t have a good team for him

I must admit he gets better and better. I’m hard on him for no reason

Well I went to the game and I’m glad we won. That was hella ugly though. Some just terrible rebounding.

We had to give up 17 motherfucking offensive rebounds and let a team that shoots 34.4% on average from three shoot 43.3% tonight. Yeah we had to shoot a lot better than them because we gave them 17 extra possessions by giving up 15 more offensive rebounds and turning the ball over two more times than they did.

We did not play damn near perfect. We out shot them and that seems to be the only way we win games right now. We know we can play defense because we did it early in the season but we haven't been doing that and in this game we got 17 defensive stops that we then gave back to them by allowing them to get the rebound on the missed shot we forced. Changes have to be made on this team but however we win is good enough for me right now.

If we don't make significant moves in the next 9 days I'll be fucking pissed and although I'll root for our team, the results of the games I root for them in will become inconsequential because we'll either make the playoffs and lose in the first round or have a late lotto pick that only delays our ability to trade future picks for win now players.

Tince, you are profoundly off course. Dame is on a path to NBA records and greatness! There had never been a stronger case for keeping and building around Dame. Imagine our chances for winning the NBA Championship if we trade Simons for Lauri Markkanen, and see further development of Sharpe, Nas, Walker, and Grant. The beginning of the build to the Championship team is here. Let's enjoy it and root for the Blazers!

Grant is who he is. The other guys will develop, you're right. If I could get Lauri Markkanen for Ant today, I'd do it in a second, without hesitation or qualification... I'm a Blazers fan so that probably means that's not a fair trade for the Cavs especially when you consider their back court,

I think Dame has 3 seasons after this one where he'll be close to this level and Dame will probably surprise me with more because he never fails to out perform expectations, so of course we should build the closest thing to a contender that we can around him but it will take a lot of change, not just trading Ant for a player at a better position that's a better fit. The funny thing is that I don't think your solution to our problematic roster is enough and I don't think Joe is even going to do something as radical as you're suggesting. I hope I'm wrong. Go Blazers!

Markkanen is in Utah.

Perhaps Jody doesn't realize a ring for Dame as a Blazer would be a money maker in the end. A huge huge sports story, the team's value would go up, not to mention all the espn specials/movies they do etc. Who knows maybe hollywood would come calling? I think it would be the "feel-good" story the NBA hasn't seen in some time. Then media and fans make it even more legendary. IMHO it would be a big deal.

Important win, very important. With that 3-3 home stand and Lillard in superstar mode, The Front Office can continue to try and sell this squad to a new owner, with the concept of Blazers simply need a few easily findable players to become legit contenders.
