so you're mad that she didn't pay a massive penalty for a shitty roster?

It's weird that you think fixing the mess he left apparently should be fixed quickly.

Again, it's like you're not paying attention to anything that goes on.
you can try to make a point without insults.

i'm mad that she has fostered a culture of losing. She is the leader of the franchise and the face of it, yet clearly has made every decision with only one thing on her mind: $.

What's funny is YOU are the one who is seemingly blind to it while calling me out. We had a chance to land a center who we desperately needed. We CHOSE instead to get five second round picks (three which might not even convey). We had a chance to keep the one guy EVERYONE loved because of how hard he played, but moved him because of financial ramifications without a replacement in mind. The team we gave him up to is solidly in the playoffs now as expected. We had a chance to sign guys on the waiver to make a push in Dame's best season yet. Yet we decided to cut 5 more mil of Jody's payroll for the year.

We even prioritized guys who are free agents in the summer so we will ONCE AGAIN duck the tax next year.

Keep your blinders on. And spare me the lectures about tanking. I wanted to tank after seeing our dumbass moves at the deadline when the writing on the wall became very clear what Joe wanted to do. It just sucks that this is how far our team has fallen in consecutive years. It's painful. They all sold us on this year being better but we might have a WORSE record than last season when Dame played half the games. That is sad. And not the fault of the guy who was fired a year and half ago.

it makes my blood boil to hear MVP chants for Tatum or dumbass Kings chants in our arena. Say what you what about Olshey, but this did not happen during his tenure.

It seems like it but his rosters have been fatally flawed his entire time here. I would hope we overhaul his coaching staff in the offseason with a better head coach in waiting than Scott Brooks but even if it is Brooks, if Joe puts together a decent roster then Chauncey should be on a short leash even in the early part of next season.
they all need to go.

Blazers need a lot of work, need new Owner, new GM, new Coach, new players. How many years we need to wait before we get back to the playoffs?

What gets me about Jody is she has the balls to show up to even these useless games on a random Wednesday night.. atleast she’s not an absentee owner whose hiding in Seattle in her mansion

Yes, it's his fault. He's the one who made it so they can't trade any future picks right now. He's the one who kept CJ far too long, and traded away picks for nothing, let players walk for nothing, and depleted the assets to get players and signed players to shitty contracts and hamstrung any movement the team could do.

It's as if you haven't been paying attention.

Olshey was dog shit. But nothing Cronin has done thus far really makes me think he’s much better.

I doubt he has the ingenuity to pull a rabbit out of his hat this offseason.

yes it did. It's always happened.

Good lord, you need to take a break from sports if things are this frustrating for you.

I do find these game threads amusing right now as people just pour it on the organization game after game, despite the objective we’re on is to lose (for the betterment of the future).

do you really trust these people to get us out of the mud? with this leadership/ownership?

I'm happy for the Kings. They broke the playoff-less streak and have a pretty solid roster. (I'd kill to pair Sabonis with Lillard.)

But.....I have no belief that Mike Brown can coach them to success in the playoffs. If they do match up 1st rd against GS they'll probably get beat.

No.

But there hasn’t been any revelations. We’re rolling out the equivalent to a G league squad right now.

Cronin has lost every trade he has made so far. He was not promoted as some symbol of virtuous elevation in roles because he was deserving. He was promoted because Jody can't be bothered to interview or pay professional executives with experience. They didn't even conduct a GM search. She also did the same with the President position when McGowan resigned and they promoted a guy who has 0 experience in this kinda role.

She's cheap.

But let's all ignore that while continuing to trash the guy who has been long gone.

I know. I’ve long bashed that. I wanted Ainge pretty bad. At the time he was attainable. At least with Ainge you know he has the balls to roll the dice.

The last thing I wanted was a protege of the guy that got them in this mess.

I’m not sure there was anyone around these parts that hated the trade deadline deals last year more than me. After that deadline I made it known on here that I think the best route to take is to trade Lillard. I still stand by that.

I have my thoughts on Ainge. Will not get into that now.

But people will come here and proudly announce that Cronin is simply undoing the mistakes of his predecessor and that's why we have to tank in consecutive seasons while the best player in franchise history has his best season yet.

Don't let these people lie to you.

Chauncey can be fired, I'm fine with it.

But it was amazing to have a better coach than Stotts for a couple years!

Bro I’m hella happy.. I love this tank. I want that French kid

If it’s only 13 more they don’t set a new record.

Guys played a
I know I was just talking to the ppl who constantly bitch that she doesn’t care and shit
Being basketball/NBA/ Blazer fans, they may not understand that there are actually people that would not go to Trail Blazer games even if they were free. Not everyone is interested in watching them, even when they are winning.

But we were told "anybody would be better than Stott's."

I don't think there were many people in here that thought that "anybody would be better than Stotts". It's not like I wanted some fucking YouTuber to be the coach so we could get more fans and way less wins.

There were just a ton of us that knew it was time to move on from Stotts. I still am not positive that Chauncey is worse than Stotts given that the roster construction since he's been here has been an absolute clusterfuck. It wasn't so much that I thought that Terry was a bad coach, it's just that he had proven that in this situation he wasn't able to win big. I don't know if it was fair for us to expect him to win any bigger than he did given the rosters he had but as a fan of the team I was just ready to move on.

I have a hard time imagining that any coach will ever go more seasons than Stotts did without a win in a conference championship game. No coach in the history of the league had made it that long without such a win and I don't think we're going to get more tolerant of mediocre performance as a society. I'm actually still pretty pissed that he made it as long as he did. It's a pretty bad sign when your team settles for the longest head coach tenure without a conference finals win in the history of the league.
