Our lack of height really seemed to show last night.Sorry guys but the Blazers are not really that good and very small. Really small.
Gonna be a tough year.

They may be hoping to build Keon's trade value? Or find out if he is good enough so they can trade another guard? Why is Walker playing only 5 mins ? He's looked like the most NBA ready of our young guys.
Does Keon really need 20+ minutes ?
Callabro is the least of this teams problems.

The Blazers are 1-9 in the preseason in the last three years
Brutal.

Nic Batum would be pretty good i would think? You get 14/6 with a couple steals and blocks i think they could safely say he was well worth that pick?
we have a 19 year old kid playing with grown men. He’s a year or two away from really contributing on this team which I’m ok with. Simons was same, sometimes you just need that extra time to mature and realize you belong. The talent is definitely there so I’m not worried

Check out the box scores of other p s games and you'll see a lot of DNP's.Probably not doing well in practice. How’s he’s only getting a couple minutes is beyond me too
Keon is a guard and is getting minutes because GP2 is out.
Walker is a forward, even Little only got 13 minutes. I am guessing that they wanted to give Cacock a chance before they cut him.
I was on another site writing quite a bit about the Blazers when "Frenchy" was here.I meant more so about just being parked around the three and not slashing to the bucket on back screens or cuts.
I and many others became increasingly frustrated with Batum, knowing he was the most athletic on the team but moved so little.

I always said if Nic gets 12 points and 6 rebounds the Blazers will win. It's was almost set in stone. Nic needed to play well if the Blazers were going to win.
So you read them. I usually had an X factor and it was Batum quite a bit.The “X” factor.
Would that be little and Sharpe now?
Yeah, I’m sure the plan in the regular season will be to rest the starters in the 4th quarter and see if the end of the bench can carry the team to victory.
I miss making the playoffs. You wanted him forever?
If this kid turns into Nic Batum, I’d be ecstatic. Didn’t Nico start 80 games as a rookie and guarded the other teams 1-4 at times? I’ll take it.I was thinking more of Moe Harkless, but either way, I certainly hope he can be more effective in taking advantage of his physical gifts.
Good thing preseason is not an indicator of regular season success. Of course, if we mirrored the preseason, we'd continually be in line for the #1 pick. Don't think we'd have a lot of fan support though. (not as though it is overwhelming right now anyway).
he's not starting with the ball from the 3-point line like he did in the past. He's going to get much better looks this season, especially if Winslow is a starter.nurk just cant help himself, how the fuck you foul out in a pre-season game
to small of a sample, but his finishing at the rim has been very, very good in these two games
I hear ya, I know it's early but am very worried about the Ant/Dame pairing, Nas gets a pass for now given how rusty he likely is, but he needs to get back to last yr's good play in a reasonable time frameLast deadline I wanted to sell high on Ant and Nas and trade them.....I think I was on to something..hope they prove me wrong but so far....underwhelmed...I know it's just glorified tryouts for now but I expected them to be impact players out of the gate
Is it not though?
The last two seasons have been EXTREMELY mediocre or just plain b ad, and a lot of the issues that we saw in preseason continued to manifest during the regular season.
I was watching the NETS game and their front 3 are basically all 7 footers. Man oh man.Our lack of height really seemed to show last night.
With a 6'10 PG.I was watching the NETS game and their front 3 are basically all 7 footers. Man oh man.
Man as we went on the air at 7pm last night, it’s a safe bet to say there was 5,000 in that arena. We had trouble shooting our pregame interviews and other shots because there was NO fans in the seats.Good thing preseason is not an indicator of regular season success. That kid impacted the games in so many ways. He is a player we should have hung onto.I meant more so about just being parked around the three and not slashing to the bucket on back screens or cuts.

There are not players other than Lillard on this team that are not "Mid Tier" or worse.
Because he is "Mid Tier" at best.
Well? You used the word "Scheme" so you must know what you are talking about.
