Remember when Joe Cronin said he valued the Ingles contract? I laughed at that and someone greatly disagreed. There was no way they were going to pay him $$$ like that unless they were a contender and he helped put them over the top.
Maybe Cronin did in fact value Ingles, but Ingles valued the opportunity to play on a contender.

Would it be better if I tell you he is making 20 next year? then 23, 27 and 30? But starting at 20mil.
 
Listen, almost every deal that doesn't take a week or more to make is going to be shocking to the majority of us because the cap keeps going up.
 
I don't get why Bobby Portis signed so cheap (relatively) with the Bucks. I would think his value on the open market would be well north of $12M per year.

With whom? What contender had cap space to offer him more than MLE?
 
Is this going to be one of those situations like with Neil where 5 days into free agency we hear he signs guys like Zeller, Snell and McLemore and the homers go bananas saying we had a slam dunk offseason?
