Even with the year off I have no doubts Sheadon will look good as a scorer tonight. He's the best natural scorer in this draft class imo.
It's the other stuff that I'll be interested to see where he's at. Minus creating spacing for jumpers and the flashes here and there the handle looked pretty rough in the full games I watched. Quite a few mishandles, didn't read or handle digs well, turnover prone in transition. How's the passing vision? Didn't run a ton of ball screen stuff even as the man at Dream City and UPlay, Can hit the roll man, but didn't see really any high level reads. Did a decent job making the simple next pass within the flow, will make the laydown pass too if he touches the paint, willing hit ahead passer in transition.
Defensively I just want to see him compete on the ball. Don't have a great read on his lateral quickness. Was rare to see him sit down and slide with guys last year so still not sure if its a hasn't done it or can't do it sort of thing. Some have said the team Canada was better but still saw a lot of the same issues to a lesser extent in the couple games I watched.
Has a chance to be pretty awesome rebounder and weakside defender. His big hands and wild two foot bounce allows him to get rebounds that most guys just cant get to and if we are going to up on most ball screens again next year, his secondary rim protection will come in handy (as well as GP2 and Grant).
