• Chauncey Billups is 3-6 vs the Timberwolves and Coach Chris Finch
• The Timberwolves defeated the Blazers 116-93 on 1/12 in Minnesota
• The Blazers will face the Timberwolves again in Portland on 2/15 and in Minnesota on 3/4
• Nickeil Alexander Walker was traded to Portland via the CJ McCollum trade, but was rerouted to Utah and never played for the team.
• Luka Garza played for the Blazers summer league team in 2022, helping them to the championship

of course, that would suck because the Wolves spent 13 straight seasons in the lottery, and 16 of 17 seasons in the lottery. They won 1 playoff game over a 17 year stretch

but that's better than the Kings who were in the lottery for 16 straight seasons (after firing Rick Adelman)

There just isn't a template. A front office in our situation has to draft well, make opportune trades and sign some guys whose value just isn't known... in other words we've got to be smart and lucky.

At the same time our coaching staff has to develop talent and teach them a system in which they can put to use their talents and the skills the staff is helping them develop.

So this is the time when the Injury report just stays fluid. Pick your player for whatever game? I guess the good thing is the Spurs are up to 11 wins now. Blazers are pretty solid in 14th in the west. The Grizzlies are trying hard though. Lost 9 in a row. Gonna be tough for the Blazers to beat that with so many home games this month.
On the eastern side of things the Hornets went out and won 2. They are up to 12 wins now.
Things are getting competitive for those bottom 3 spots.

the undermanned Grizzlies held the Pelicans under 100 in a scrappy hard fought 'proud of my guys' loss yesterday. Good to see Memphis playing the way Billups wants to play.
