I doubt that. He played hard, he just shot the 3 ball poorly.
his defense looks awful when there isn't a solid rim protector behind him. and made blunders getting out to the corners. Camara looks a lot more solid tbh. One game but still.

I would think Grant/Camara could be switchable at PF/SF, nice size/length, Camara can rebound while Grant can't

What will Dallas give us for Tisse? That starting 3 spot is looking like Toumani has a shot at it.
He has earned it. clearly a better and more well-rounded player.

Although I don't know what criteria Billips uses.

Jesus, might want to see him play more than 2 games before we anoint him the starting SF.
also he does fit the archetype of guys who unexpectedly end up as starters on teams. Rangy wings who play hard, defend, shoot, and are usually smart. Batum with us for example, and he was even more unexpected given how young he was. Herb Jones, Keegan Murray, Jae'Sean Tate all more recent examples of wings who started a ton as a rookies. They all turned out to be on the older side.

Finney Smith was undrafted and started 35 games as a 23 yr old rookie. It happens more often than you think.

the barrier for entry for a starting SF on this team is not that high. Matisse is only a placeholder because Shaedon needs shots he won't get on the starting lineup. Camara seems like a good fit in that role.

that's true. And a 4 year player will definitely be more NBA ready if he has skills

I don't think Camara is a starting level SF right now. But to be blunt, I don't think Thybulle is either. More than that, is that the Ant-Thybulle-Grant trio on the wings has to be the worst rebounding starting rotation at SG/SF/PF in the league. Camara would change that dynamic

like you said, the Blazers really don't have anything to lose

Serious? This sounds like an agenda post. He played very well tonight. Give him some credit.
I did give him credit. I don't know what an agenda post is but if it means I'm not a huge Ant fan then that's correct. He had a hell of a shooting night tonight. If he keeps it up it's great for the team.

still super early but not pretty so far.

but also reminder that the Warriors drafted Draymond nearly 30 picks after they selected Harrison Barnes. it happens.

Murray was drafted 29 picks ahead of Toumani.
The Warriors also drafted James Wiseman with the 2nd overall pick. Though the 2020 draft was one of those weird ones.

Waste of a pick…
In the end it doesn't matter if they get a good young player that provides what they expected from , or surpasses the expectations of Murray. Only so many guys can get minutes.

Seems a little premature to write him off just yet.

Of course. I hope I’m wrong. Seemed like a pick that was meant to appease Dame and doesn’t feel like a Schmidtz pick. Certainly could have tried for a higher ceiling but I hope he gets close Keegan.
