If Blazers put all their games on Root Plus
..... I'm toast. I can't get that channel on the Coast.

I was about to send an open invitation to the folks here visiting the central coast. Blazer watch parties at my beach house !!! ... but I can't predict Root's masochistic approach to screwing over Blazers television.

Now I have a reason to be upset about this.

Central coast rocks. What town?

I am hoping this is not the case as well. I"m not going to upgrade my cable package, because I don't even watch cable as it is, I only have it for Duck/Blazer games.

I"ve not seeing anything in the communications that say "root+", but I wonder if those asshats are going to only show some on root+.

Is it the Blazers choice which Root channel it goes on or is that part up to root?

If it is the Blazers choice and that happens, especially right after Xfinity screwed over people by changing the tier Root is on, that's not a good look.

Lincoln City !! home of the world's shortest river. Nice big fat beach, fun to go on walks. The people here are very nice. The restaurants are horrible! But I'd make some wicked ass nachos for proposed Blazer parties :-)
This sounds like something that needs to happen sooner rather than later.

I’m seriously wondering how they don’t have any say in the resolution the broadcasts or which channel, etc. did they really just hand root complete control over their content? That would be asinine.

BlackFish is a pretty good place to eat.
I'll earmark Blackfish as a possible destination, thanks for the input !!

I had to hit pause experimenting with beach restaurants. Too many "omg yuck" endeavors since I moved here.

There was a little Thai place on the north side of town that was pretty good. Also a little fish and chips place kind of by the Autobahn that people I know have raved about. Also, for some reason Chinese tastes better when you’re at the beach and we got takeout from a Chinese place once that was good

Plus you’re what 30 minutes away from Newport?

there's a couple Thai restaurants that recently opened over here. I heard they're both really good.

That Jay's Fish & Chips... I got that once... Maybe it was a bad day? Pure grease, took 1 bite and was done. Even my cats turned their nose up on taking a nibble.

Top notch. Seriously.

about 35 minutes, pending slow ass RV's or trucks.
Avoid Newport Cafe !! It's a much heralded yummy place to eat. .... not kidding here... we got burgers there and it was definitely elk meat. Uncle Bob shot him a biggin

It's almost certainly not the Blazers choice. The Blazers choice was to sell Root the media rights.

What i wonder is if the blazer could host their own stream to compensate for Evoca (sp?) going under?

There was some kind of exception for them to do it. It seems like th Blazers should have an argument to offer that service for their fans. Then just have a minimum broadcast staff and use the radio play by play for your commentary.

Is NBAtv blacked out tonight?
Google says it is blacked out
"Yes, NBA TV blackouts local games. Blackout restrictions are based on zip code. This means that you can't watch your local team's games live on NBA League Pass and NBA TV."

Remember, that deal was made on McGowan's way out. And he's the one who signed the shitty Comcast deal in the first place...

Anything can be written into a contract. They could have required that the games be carried in 4k. They could have required that the games be accessible. They chose a seattle based company and got little brothered by the Mariners and Kraken.

Yeah, that is the same way everywhere. The huge difference though, at least here in LA, is that all the games are on local cable TV stations.....so it is justified.
You guys in Oregon get screwed.

Agreed. I'm simply saying that stuff obviously wasn't written in, likely because it was something done in a haste to improve a compensation package for someone who is on their way out.

People that don't have Root maybe screwed. Though, last season it was supposed to be blacked out and I still got it. It depends on the streaming service you use I guess.

Excited to see this new team, especially playing the Suns after the trade
