It will be a long year, if you think different then too bad for you, I enjoy watching the young guys develop, too much bitchin here

I have a feeling this 1st half is kind of a preview of what to expect this season against decent--->good teams. Blazer defense can't cover and the offense breaks down a lot

I don’t know. We’ve looked good and we’re not playing Phoenix every night.
The problem I’m seeing is the Blazers have no go to player. They have some good players but they no longer have that one or two players they know can get them a bucket. Scoot is not that kind of player. Sharpe isn’t there yet. Simons is hit and miss. Grant doesn’t seem to be that guy either and Ayton has never really been that player either.
Guess we will see if they can mature a bit and gel into a team that can win some games?

So, pretty much how they'll look against every team but 3?

The Blazers looked bad in last year's preseason. Didn't mean much looking at the real games that followed.

Man this forum is going be rough this year. Two preseason games in and we are already ripping on guys, lol. Not only are there a lot of young players but also lot of new guys learning a new system. Lower your expectations….. and just enjoy the ups

yep, got some fools here

Here's the problem that I'm seeing....

This isn't a youth movement. It feels like we're trying to win.

Simons... Grant.... Brogdon.... Williams... Ayton.... Thybulle.

How will Scoot and Sharpe improve when they have to share the ball with six other veterans? Of course Sharpe looks like ass. He's standing in the corner waiting for the ball.

Scoot brings the ball up the court and immediately gives it to Simons. Both possessions. And then spots up. How is that taking advantage of Scoot's skills?

It's kind of like he's being told to just be there. I don't care if he misses all of his shots, I want him to get the feel of the game, and learn not to be a deer in headlights.

not really involving him at all.

There's not a lot of cohesiveness to the teams play. Some of that is that there's so many new guys, but also some of that is I'm not sure there is any kind of offensive cohesiveness.

Is Ayton going to take any shots?

People need to calm down on Sharpe. He's 20 years old. It took Simons four years to become anything.

Difference is, Simons was 80 pounds soaking wet and was drafted about where he should've been. Sharpe was a lotto pick, and should be further along.
