I question if it was the best moves to have CJ or Meyers on those rosters with Dame at those salaries. Their skillets didn't complement each other.

But I never questioned CJ or Meyers effort, them deserving minutes, deserving touches, deserving shots, etc.

This Ayton Ant Grant trio never made sense from the moment Dame was traded and it looks worse every day Blazer management has decided to continue with it.

Had chances to move them. Just trying to get the most out of them in return. Probably, not going to be much anyway. I do expect movement at the deadline.

3 wins doesn't even get you in.

We were never getting in one way or the other.

Incorrect, 3 wins (just swapping the days we won/loss with Hou) would have given us the group stage win since we'd have the tie breaker over both Houston and Minnesota, and we'd have advanced.

Former Blazers always go off on us

When do we know the details about the extra 2 games that will be played in December?
We know it won't be against Houston, Dallas, OKC, or GS. Yes 1 road game and 1 home game. I think last year it was announced within a day or two.

Guess it just depends on the three. If we had won tonight we would have still missed it with three wins.

Heard the same story last trade deadline, last draft, last free agency, last summer league, before training camp, etc.

THEY'RE STILL HERE

Yes, once we lost to Houston we were basically eliminated. If you beat the good team in your group, as we almost did with Hou/Minny, then you get the tiebreaker and a commanding lead. Houston actually clinched the division with only 3 wins a week ago.

Crazy that Ayton led the Blazers in scoring and shot 80% FG tonight....

So misleading to how horrible he is.

Rough one to watch. No one really had it going besides Shaedon and that dude doesn't demand the ball when he's cooking... hell Shae doesn't even keep the ball when it's passed to him when he's cooking.
Gotta get Simons and Grant out of the way. Maybe Ayton, too.

This is what it looks like when the wrong kind of vets slow the development of young guys.

Almost every starter got more rebounds than our starting center. How pathetic is that?

That’s on Sharpe
I disagree. He plays well without Simons. I had forgotten that Grant played better without Simons as well.

It's pretty clear that Simons is a problem for Sharpe. And that's not at all worth screwing with. He needs to go so we can determine what's what with Sharpe. If nothing else we can build Sharpe's trade value.

Yeah I can't tell the number of times I saw him offload it to somebody else when they weren't even necessarily open. He looks gunshy
Gunshy when Simons is on the court. He's clearly not comfortable playing with him. Even if we determine Sharpe isn't the answer moving forward, Simons clearly hurts hus game. And that hurts Sharpe's value. Every game and scrimmage Sharpe plays like that is a missed opportunity.

Hard to believe their trade value is or will increase so why wait?

The NBA trade market hardly ever gets going until after Dec. 15th, which is the first day that players who signed a contract over the summer can be traded.

Let's not pretend that one bad game is a trend for him, though. He's averaging 11.5 rpg and has 9 double-doubles.
He's the anti Clingan. Stats don't come close to reflecting his (lack of) impact.

I'm ready to move on.

Just a shame Rob is made of glass. He woulda been the perfect long term backup to split C duties with Donovan. Would be really nice to keep RWIII and move Ayton, but that's tough to justify given the injury history.
