Bullshit. Wait until he is full time starting PG. He hasn’t even played a season and a half yet. He’s had legit star flashes. It’ll take another season before he starts doing it every night.
 
Scoot is a pretty good at setting up his teammates. He’s an absolute clueless scorer though. I’m not sure this is fixable.

Putting thoughts in Scoot’s head is not a legitimate take. A legit take is that YOU realize he won’t be a star. Don’t tell us what a guy who just got into the league thinks about himself.

Hahaha. He just got in the league! He’s had 20 point games but hasn’t been given the team where he can really get comfortable. That said, he’s probably one of the best back up PGs in the league,

You know what I meant. Like the phrase “putting words in someone else’s mouth.” That’s what I meant. Don’t tell us what Scoot thinks.
 
I guess both Williams and Clingan are on minutes restrictions?
 
I honestly believe if Scoot were drafted by a winning coach with proven talent development skills, he would be a different player. Look at this lineup: Scoot Ant and Deni with Scoot playing off the ball on lots of possessions. Why would Billups do that?
 
Scoots gonna have to show more than he is, esp in shooting.

We just need to trade Ant. He needs to leave the organization. Scoot should be THE leader of the team. Give that a couple seasons and we’ll see the player he really is.
 
We have the best fan base in the league if they can just give us something to be excited about.

Scoot - I don't view him as a leader, or at least, as a good one. Bad defensively, turnover machine and can't finish or shoot. He may have a strong personality but he isn't a leader I want our team following.
Sharpe - Hasn't exhibited willingness to BE the leader. I think he could but he strikes me more as a Rasheed Wallace type - very talented but not a real leader.

From my perspective, we have a serious lack in two places - coaching (please, get us someone who has a concept of an offensive schema and encourages defense) and a team leader to give this team an identity.

Dame was not only talented but very quickly became the team leader and it became his team. We just have a bunch of guys and it is nobody's team and a nobody coach.

Sometimes I'm amazed we do as well as we do (then we have the blowouts and all hope is again vanquished).

I don't know. I don't see a lot there. He looks to me like one of the most overhyped prospects I've ever seen. Had that one good game in the G League against Wembanyama, but he's a 6-2 screen setter.

Guy can't shoot layups left-handed. His court awareness for an NBA player is really poor.

It's really bad that we're at a point right now that if he scores 12 points we think he's had a good night.
