now why wouldn't the Lakers pony up an unprotected 1st for Grant?

the AntGrant combo 4-25 on FG's (16%), 1-11 on three's (9%)

56M

Billups needs to stop treating Ant and Grant like they're All Stars and deserve the benefit of the doubt. They are not All Stars and have never been. If they are playing like crap they deserve to be benched accordingly.

Now Cronin fans I got a question for ya that even YOU cannot defend that fool on --

Why did Joe not trade him to the Lakers for a 1st and parts when he was kind of worth it and now he might be as untradeable as Ayton or getting damn close to it.

I want to hear / read the excuses from you guys cause I need a good laugh and by the way -- SPOILER -- NOT ONE GOOD FUCKING EXCUSE -- period
I don't trust Joe. I don't know how he'll fuck up the future of our team but I think it's likely he will.

He might have a deal on the table for Ant. He might also have one for Jerami. Hopefully we don't have to give up assets and can receive some low value long shot assets for them. Hopefully there are deals on the table for Rob and we don't play him until he gets hurt again. I think we're stuck with Deandre but who knows, since he will be on an expiring contract and the team who has him at the end of next season will have his Bird rights so they could sign him to a MLE level deal without using their MLE.

These are the things I'm hoping are in our future. I'm not counting on any of them being gone next season. I'm not counting on sitting them and really featuring Shaedon, Scoot and Donovan the rest of the season but I'm hoping that's what we'll do.

Most likely we're in for a four game win streak that a bunch of you hopium addicts will get off on but will only hurt us in the long term. It would be fucking great to see a rotation of Scoot, Shae, Kris, Bari, Clingan, Duop, Rupes, McGowan, Minaya and maybe Dalano for most games the rest of this season. It would suck to shelf Tou and Deni but I think both guys are rock solid and don't need the reps the rest of young our guys do.

We'll see but I'm ready for disappointment.

I was on top of the world a couple weeks ago.

Knowing I have to actually be forced to stomach Simons and Grant rob our young talent of prime minutes while being overpaid to force us into losses… we’re stuck with them.

I can only pray for injury… to myself or them. I’ll take the fall. Lord blind me now

Now the Blazers are going to go on another win streak against a stretch of shitty teams that are tanking. The Blazers will try to sell it as again that the Blazers are good. Lies.

WE ARE GOOD.

don’t let the disease that is a Simons/Grant led offense distract you from what is clearly there otherswise!

Charlotte beat that Lakers team last night

road games in Utah have usually been a house of horrors for Portland

yeah, the Wizards are a pushover, but often the Blazers can't push hard against bad teams

Brooklyn beat Portland in Portland

I'd be a little surprised if the Blazers go 4-0 over the next 4 games. It's an easy road for sure, but 3 of the games are actually on the road

If we lose 2 of them, I’m out for the rest of the season. Tank away.

I have whomever you’re responding to on ignore. So I guess you should join me. I ignore people who are either ultra-negative or attack me personally. It’s great.
Yet he contacts me asking for tickets..... can't make it up.

Because Mike fuckin Scotto or another lame blogger said it, the offer was on the table? Come on...

I think the problem today was offense. Coming back from the break I can even say it is to be expected to some degree.

The fact Ant, Grant and Scoot were unable to shoot in good % is the reason for the loss IMO. But I think once the offense gets back to rythem and better ball movement - their precentages will rise and the team should resume winning.

It goes by salary bud. They are literally 2 of the highest paid players on the team. If not Ayton as well. It’s a dirty unwritten rule in the nba if your getting paid the most your definitely not coming off the bench..

I haven’t been this frustrated in a long time. Watching Grant and Ant log big minutes while shooting a combined 4 of 25 and playing terrible defense is mind boggling. Sharpe should be finishing games playing him 21 minutes is not developing him. Sure did a point need to get across that he needs to play defense yes, but I thought he played a lot better in 2nd half while Ant and Grant looked like shit. Im getting concerned that coach has lost Sharpe.

Preaching to Sharpe and Scoot that you don’t want to be that player that teams repeatedly attack in pick in roll. Then you watch as Ant is attacked over and over in pick in roll.

We got out-rebounded 48 to 33. You can see that Lakers made a wise choice getting Finney-Smith instead of Grant at a much cheaper price. I don't think Banton is a great player but would be happy to see him take all of Simon's minutes. At least teams can't pick on him every time defensively. Would rather see McGowan play than Simons.
