I don't know if you're talking about Jerami or Deandre but I have the same response about both of them. A team and it's fans should be excited to get either of those guys as role players but if they're going to try and pretend like they're one of THE GUYS that win games for teams then that's when they seem like nothing.

I believe he's talking about Avdija. Somebody compared him to Hezonja

I have more patience for him but tonight was the kind of game that was so ugly anyone who watched it had their patience tried by all of the players on both teams.

Where is everybody?
I don't enjoy watching Grant and Simons. I catch games when I can, but as long as Grant and Simons are playing big minutes for us and dominating the offense with their chucker mentality I don't make it a priority.

didn't watch the game after a few hours of football. Wife has me on a sports budget this weekend

I see that the two teams combined for 72-204 FGA's. Holy shit! Was there any paint left on the rims?

Simons-Ayton-Grant combined to score 50 points on 61 shots. That's pretty fucking bad especially considering they took 61 of Portland's 111 shots; more than half again. They combined for 110 minutes; Scoot-Clingan-Rupert combined for 38 minutes. I think this is exactly what most fans didn't want to see with this team: those 3 vets hogging a far too big a share of usage, shots, minutes, and payroll.

Boring and pointless
Yep. Glad they lost, as that's best for our future. But I didn't need to see that.

We are knocking the vets a lot tonight but i think we have to also admit that Scoot was really bad tonight.

looks like it...but

Scoot was playing in his 68th game. Grant has played in 703 games; Ayton 409; Simons 339.

Scoot had played 6 fairly solid games until the stinker tonight and it's certain that those 3 vets had plenty of stinkers before they had hit the 70 game mark

I guess on the bright side for our pick - our big 3 has been so bad they might have a chance to lose us more games than if they were gone.

At least Hezonja didn't cost us a pick that could be at the top of the lottery.
We'll still have one that's higher but I agree it looked like an overpay and seems to be one. That being said, I don't hate Deni's game. He has some fixable problems that if fixed would make him a starting level role player on a good team down the road.

It comes down to his 3pt shooting. 4 years he's been bad and one he was good. He doesn't have value to a contender if he can't hit that shot.

My kitten was 50 feet up a tree for two days. A couple of EMTs wanted to come out in the middle of the night with headlamps to brainstorm a way to get her down, so I was out in the woods with them.

EPILOG: The kitten came down by herself this morning, after three fire companies weren't able to get her and I had to cut down a beloved walnut tree.

Is this real? I want it to be.

Did you hire an arborist? Usually they have climbing gear.

No. We had three fire companies, though, and a bucket truck from a tree cutter. But every time they went for her, she went higher in the tree. She started at 40 feet and ended up at 70 feet.

I don't expect it to work, but I've also tried a graft from the cut tree. It wasn't completely detached from the stump. It was cut enough that it fell at about a 75-80-degree angle into two even taller pine trees, which gave the kitten a couple of ways to come down. She eventually crawled down the walnut tree.

When I went back today, I put the wedge that was cut out of the walnut tree back in as far as I could.

Like I said, I don't expect it to work, but with the main part of the tree still partly attached to the stump and root and still extended almost 90 degrees, I didn't think it would hurt. The seeds I planted came from the tree that was cut, too.

Wild. How did you cut it down?
