Come on man…. The coach of Utah gets it. The coach of Toronto gets it. The coach of Washington gets it. They don’t need their GM to hold their hands. He played Banton 30 fucking minutes tonight.

Well this game is over, the Suns have lost theirs and now we split odds to move up with Houston and have to basically see who gets 9 and who gets 10 with a virtual coin toss.

What in the actual fuck!!!

Did these people that run our team just decide that we don't need more talent... because I strongly disagree.

The shortsightedness of this team is absolutely infuriating and mind boggling. What in the fuck do we get out of these late season wins. You do not carry momentum into the next season... that's bullshit. Losing does not create a culture of losing... talent wins and we decided to limit the amount of talent that we can pick from in this draft.
 
We gave Billups an extension to do this -- WTF is going on

I will say it again Cronin better have a real plan and not just HOPE for luck cause right now the crosshairs are on him to get shit done this coming offseason and if he does not he is going to get so much flack he will prolly have to resign from the backlash he will get ... again hope he has a plan -- time to wait and see now.

I just don't know what part of that plan could possibly include not caring how high our pick is in this draft. It's baffling.

We fucking know that these two guys (Joe and Chauncey) aren't morally opposed to tanking. They litterally tanked the season that Dame was at the peak of his prime... they just burnt that value up. Not now though... no that wouldn't be good for some unknown reason.

That's the thing that has me so furious. If Joe and Chauncey had a moral problem with intentionally losing games then fine, that would be what it would be. They don't though. They made us sit through three tanking seasons and then decided to win meaningless games at the end of this season for who the hell knows why. It's a very talented draft class. There are definite tiers to it. Just can't believe what I just watched but hey, that's over now. On to a coin flip, then the draft lotto, hopefully some trades, then the draft.

I will be ecstatic if our team with it's young core is in the play-in or playoffs this time next season. Can't fucking wait! I never want to hope for losses again. You won't read one more thing about this nonsense this year... onto greatness or mediocrity but definitely onto winning records. Go Blazers!!!

The Blazers are a junior training ground....It's obvious B&J thought the GM & Coach met expectations for their 4th year. I see Joe as a yes man for the Vulcans. 20 years from now Joe will still be working for them....
 
Sorry to interrupt the regular scheduled temper tantrum, but good to see Rupert these last few games. Another 10 lbs and he can give us minutes at both 2 and 3.
Still only 20 (for another month), but thanks to that 7 3" wingspan, he gives us another solid wing defender.

Yeah I know Fuck Chauncey he should have played him earlier.....continue on

people are venting in a game thread. This season didn't work out like a lot of us wanted

on the other hand, it's going the way you wanted. Cronin is back; Billups is back; It's quite likely the Blazers will re-boot this team next season. You like Simons and want him back; same for Ayton.

you're getting what you wanted. Be generous and let us vent without so much of your snark

The reason I get so upset and pinwheel this is kind of aimed at you IF it's true you wanted Billups back and Ayton and Ant is this ....

I want this team to be a contender and some fans are just happy to let the team be MID but I am not and any fan that wants / is just content to be mid are not a fan i want to connect with so if I insult / push away those type of fans .. I DO NOT CARE -- PERIOD
 
how much under-the-table money do you suppose the Rockets paid the Lakers to trot out that line-up today?

How long do you guys need to vent? The snark comes because it is the same shit over and over every game. I would hope the game threads would be about the actual game. But no, it is about a few of you bitching about the same thing. There is a reason why the threads are so short, and it is not because of the lack of interest in the team.

I honestly didn't care one way or the other if Billups came back or not. But yes, I did play devil's advocate to some of the idiotic reasons why he should be fired.
(or Ant and Ayton dumped for very little)

I don't know one way or the other if Chauncey sucks as a coach. As I said in another thread, I am not at the practices nor in the huddles. What I do know is that most of you don't know either....but you all seem to think you do.

I think product has a lot more to do with interest than posters at S2 bitching about direction

another example, in 2005-06 when the Blazers won 21 games, Portland ranked 30th in attendance. The following season, when Roy and Aldridge were rookies, Portland was 22nd. The following season, after drafting Oden, Portland was 7th in attendance even though Oden didn't play. The next season, when Portland won 54 games, Portland was 3rd in attendance
