I realize it's just 17 minutes of basketball, but this actually looks like a team that has played basketball before. Last year, there were lots of games where you weren't sure they had ever played 5v5 in their lives.
 
Scoot looks fine y’all are out of your mind with the blind hate at this point

You mean start of last year or the end? The lineup tonight even without Ant/Sharpe/Deni are better than the Gleague scrub squads we've finished with the last 3 years.

There were stretches were the roster as a whole looked bad. Granted, the roster never really had a chance to gel...but it shows that just normal growth has helped a ton.

Our 5-9 guys have looked better than I expected

Don't think I can jump to your conclusions so quick though. Clippers are projected to finish what 12th in the west? And they're best player is out. Plus it's preseason and our young squad is probably taking it 5x more seriously than their vets.
 
It's just the first preseason game but we may have to accept that we won't see the rewards of Scoot until season three.

Like the other G-League standouts like Green and Kuminga.

I was Scoot's biggest defender last season.

I'm not seeing a burst. Or athleticism. He keeps slowing the ball down. Why?
 
No Blazer seems to be playing that well, but we are up by 1?

I had lowered my expectations quite a bit with Scoot as last season went along. Haven't seen anything promising from him tonight.

I thought he looked really good the last 20 games. I think he'll probably take the Green and Kuminga route and start blossoming in season three. Still, I want to see more flashes from him.
 
Watching Ayton and Grant that half has me just wishing we could get them off the team. Especially Grant with that massive contract. I'm a bit concerned he has a bad year and we get stuck with that deal for all 4 years left on it.

Just don't care to watch mediocre vets at all with this team. I'd like to watch the young guys play no matter how much they lose or fail.

Yeah, I won't be upset if Grant gets traded.

Ayton is still young. I wish he would try to be a bit more active. Too much reluctance.

my conclusion?? All I'm saying is they don't look like a chicken with it's head cut off, ffs. They're still a 20 win team, they just don't look like a team that has no idea how to play, no concept of a flow or any concept of defense.

The team could still be 5x better than last year and still suck ass.

Very good chance we end up drafting a point guard though, unless we get the first pick.

Clippers aren't that good. Losing Paul George hurt. They have a lot of odd ends.
