I like everyone. If you've been here about 15 years, I know your weak spot to make fun of. If you're a right-wing pig, I still like and understand you. I might even be good for a hundred bucks if you need it.

Wizard Mentor is a good poster. I wasn't really hollering for you; would have been a good surprise to bump into you. Stayed at Travelodge both times I passed through. LaGrande is about as isolated as a town can be, of those on a freeway. The north is foggy for many miles. You drive down big cliffs through the mists of time to enter.

I'll go back to my treehouse now.

As a Dad, while I entirely understand the appeal of wanting to play with your son, I'd actually kind of feel awful for putting my kid in the situation. This whole thing feels about glorifying LeBron rather than Bronny, and I just can't imagine doing that to my kid.
Without his dad, Bronny would never have made a team roster, so I see this as a positive, like taking your kid to work. Like, he can’t actually think he’s good enough to play in the NBA…. Right?

I would think so, yeah. Can you imagine giving your kid the ultimate imposter syndrome though? And having to fall short every day with that legacy staring you in the face? Honestly, I will be shocked if his time of the NBA doesn't end up being a rather traumatic experience for him. And for that sake, I hope he can actually develop into a viable NBA player, even as a twelfth-man type.

Oh definitely I wish him the best! I actually don’t have to imagine too hard; my father was an award winning fine artist who painted these amazing huge paintings that are in private collections and small museums. I haven’t done much with my life creatively; I certainly am not the artist my dad was. It weighs on me most days.

Gotta do it like Dame did..... sneak your family into practice and then hope the team doesn't notice and just starts paying them money.

Regarding Lebron/Bronny, my funny take first; Lebron is helping his kid get paid so he won’t be living in his basement leaching off him forever!

Now seriously. I think to Jordan and Shaq. They had kids that just never really had it. They are fine I am sure. There have been many families with sons that have made the league and more in the pipeline currently. Of course this is the first time dad is in the league simultaneously. That is not a bad thing. What is bad is he is gaming the game. He has his best friend acting as kids agent, telling teams not to draft kid or he will go play in Australia. That is where I have a problem. When Griffey Jr was drafted by the Mariners, Senior moved to Seattle. He didn’t try to get Junior forced to the Reds. I just can’t help thinking Lebron is just a weasel. A rich one, but still a weasel. My 10 year old was watching the draft wondering how great it was Bronny was falling to the Lakers. I had to explain how it was a conspiracy to cheat. He’s not a fan any longer. Glad it was the Lakers being a part of the sham. I already hated the purple and piss.

I don't know, do you really think anyone other then the Lakers had interest in a small SG who can't shoot? He has value for the Lakers creating feel good father-son content rather then letting the story drift back to the team's poor performance and outlook.

Living in Arizona, it was vastly reported locally that the Suns were interested in him. And reported Bronny was interested in the Suns. But I think that was probably manufactured by James Jones, Suns GM who is buddies with Lebron. So the whole thing was just an orchestrated scam. Another sport stepping on the toes of the WWE.

Someone said he was a true 7'1 in socks so he's 7'3 in shoes...also has an incredible wingspan and will probably put on 20 lbs of muscle in the NBA gym workouts like Lamarcus did. This kid has the frame to be a monster big man...trick for the kid this season is to stay out of foul trouble as a rookie and learn to shoot free throws much, much better.

I assume you're talking about Clingan, not Sarr? (Both were mentioned in the post you responded to.) I think he's actually 7'2" barefoot, with pretty decent footwork and fundamentals. I liked him as a frosh and was surprised how much he improved as a soph. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Poor taste alert...

Bronny nearly died last year. Magic Johnson was thought to have punched his ticket with AIDS 30+ years ago. LeBron's agent told everyone to not draft Bronny. It would only be fitting for Magic's circle jerk congratulations to be the thing that did Bronny in before suiting up for the Lakers.

SideNote: Hey this "video guy" won his 7th Emmy earlier this month. If you can find better in the 2nd round....go get 'em FAMS!

I already told you, those dollar tree trophies aren't Emmys.

But, for real congrats bro!

We don’t live in Arizona and saw the same reports.

Were you alerting us to the fact that you were about to write a post with the intention of it being in poor taste?

Also was your post supposed to make any fucking sense at all (specifically the last sentence)?

What? Sir this post did not make any sense.

Anybody see this report about the Duke kid Filipowski and his slide down the draft? Had to do with his Mormon girlfriend and his family? Then Utah drafts him!? Girlfriend is like 29, he’s 20. Been dating since HS. Guess she had this all planned out about cutting his family out of the kids life….. and it worked. Saying this situation came up in interviews with teams….. they knew all about it.

That is some creepy shit if true. Oh and congratulations on the award, I don't think anyone else that posts on here has an Emmy. Well deserved too, the replays are really good and the highlight packages are phenomenal.

Nice to know our local talkers are getting national attention. They are pretty good the most respected is a former boxer from NY. He’s not a homer.

Second round picks are trade fodder. I'm happy we traded out of the second round. It would have been pointless to pick any of those guys.
So you're guaranteeing now that no player available after #33 will be better than any player currently on our roster?

Making sense is the least of the concerns I figured that would trigger... I didn't think karma would be that tough of a concept. Maybe a simplistic list will make it clearer.

1) Bronny nearly died last year.
2) Magic Johnson was thought to have punched his ticket with AIDS 30+ years ago.
3) LeBron's agent told everyone to not draft Bronny.
4) It would only be fitting for Magic's circle jerk congratulations (regarding Bronny suiting up with LeBron...as a Laker) to be the thing that did Bronny in before suiting up for the Lakers.

Magic is congratulating his team for slime ball behavior. He escaped the grim reaper. If his b.s. were the final straw for Bronny, there would be a certain irony.

Oh so we were supposed to decipher some total nutball superstitious nonsense that you had already identified as in bad taste as making some sort of coherent sense... maybe it threw us off because we didn't think an agent trying to get his client to a specific team would warrant (even in the weird world of karmic foolishness) the death of a 19 year old young man.
