Patrick Williams signed a bigger contract then Anfernee Simons... the Bulls GM is a terrible negotiator.

If Brook Lopez is being shopped, will the Bucks swap for a 1 year Brandon Ingram rental?

I got carried away earlier when I said I didn't think Ant or Jerami would be back next season. It just wouldn't make sense but honestly since LaMarcus left we haven't put together one roster that actually made sense. For the longest time it was just the Dame/CJ back court and then since we traded Gary for Norm it's like they've actively trying to put rosters together that have no chance of cohesion.

So yeah, maybe they do bring back Ant, Jerami, Tisse and Rob giving them a ton of usage while saying they're rebuilding around Scoot, Shae and Clingan. It wouldn't be the first time Joe said one thing and did another.

That being said, I'm hoping for a roster of young guys ready to learn and grow that we can get behind now while they're learning and losing and stay behind in a few years when they're winning big.

KCP has been a better shooter than Ant over the last 4 seasons
He's not near Ant's volume and he's been getting wide open set looks (playing with Joker and Murray) while Ant has been close to his percentage creating his own shots this last season. KCP isn't the offensive shot creator that Ant is but he's also a great defender and reliable on offense. Like someone said earlier, their just very different players.

I think a three and D guy like KCP is a good pickup for the Magic but I think Ant could still be a good idea for them.

* Grant was Cronin's big acquisition over his first year as GM, and his first major signing
* Quick said that Cronin was the guy who convinced Olshey to focus on Ant
* Cronin coveted Ayton for 2 years before leveraging Dame and Nurkic to land him
* Cronin matched the offer sheet for Thybulle

I don't know why people expect Cronin to move off a of the players he wanted, so soon in his tenure. It's looking like it could be a case of Blazers being right back to the cauldron of a Portland GM overvaluing 'his guys', role players who can't alter the trajectory of a team in any notable way

You definitely could be right. I wouldn't put it past him. I'm just hoping we do the sensible thing, trade away our win now pieces, pick up quality win later pieces and move forward like that. If Joe thinks this is a competitive roster he's an idiot. If he wants to keep win now players while trying to lose then I'm going to be livid when he sits their asses for the last third of the season. This is especially about Jerami who will not be as valuable by the time guys like Scoot, Shaedon and Clingan are ready to contribute consistently to big time wins.

Or as we often say, “back on the treadmill!”

Naji signs with Dallas for 9 million, thus they're hard capped and can't resign DJJ

Would think they now less likely to trade for Grant but I'm not sure

Sounds like Dallas is targeting Klay in sign and trade.

Maybe we trade Grant to whoever of Lakers/Mavs doesn't get Klay

the Clippers already failed. Losing Plumlee will be catastrophic
