OMG blame the refs when Sharpe missed a EZ FT but blame the Ref -- I am done

Since this is the last game before Xmas --- hope you all have a Merry Christmas and I hope Santa brings the Blazers better shooting cause if they cannot get better the losses will continue to pile up.

I hope we get some guys back soon because it's just terrible without them. How is it 7 of our best players get hurt, but none of our crappy players do?

way too much Deni iso in the game. I liked that he worked in some pull-up jumpers off penetration, but he spent too many possessions bulling his way into defenders fishing for whistles. I really think after that 5 game stretch when he shot 84 FT's the word got around the league, among opposing coaches and officials, that Deni was way too aggressive at initiating contact and looking for calls. Since then, he's been flailing a lot and the officials aren't rewarding him like they did in that stretch. He really needs to adjust because he's taking some bad shots inside

first of all, you need to set aside Dame. He was already scheduled to miss the season when he was signed

Thybulle has missed 110 games in the last 2.3 years
Timelord has missed 149 games in the last 2.3 years

Scoot has missed 66 games in 2.3 seasons

Jrue is a 35 year old guard who has missed an average of 22 games over the previous 5 seasons; 18 this season now

Grant isn't an iron man either; he's only hit the 60 game mark once in the last 5 seasons (although some were tanking)

the point being that this might not be a case of bad luck. It could be a case of a GM building an injury-prone roster

Besides Time Lord, who actually is healthy right now, and Tisse, it's just strange that those other three are all injured at the same time right now and Blake Wesley. Bad luck for us. I don't think having all of those guys healthy would have us as a better than .500 team. So it's not like we're missing out on a chance at contention.

Looking at the box score, I think we can say that better 3pt % along with taking better care of the ball would lead to wins. Even with this so called G-League roster.
Having Bench guys stepping up is nervous and takes some time..
I think Splitter need to run some offensive plays and go back to basics with the team - easy up on PG duties by calling plays himself - so players can get to spots and know they are cool, calm and ready to shoot.
Run a play for Doup, run a play for Rupert. Dont let Deni and Shea run down the lane each and every time as the offensive scheme.

Should have went inside tonight to Clingan. He could have dominated in there.

The only game I’ve seen this year was because I had tickets. Unfortunately I have tickets to 3 more games this season.

Before this Orlando game, he just finished a stretch of 4 games averaging 12.5 fta per game. So I disagree with your assumption

I agree with too much Deni iso - but right now, without Grant, we don't have a lot of options. Camara offensively is just not contributing enough, leaving Deni and Shaedon as the only real threats - and when they're off the court, good luck.

5 games when he averaged 17 FTA's; followed by 7 games when he averaged 9 FTA's; right, no difference....and he spent a lot of time in those 7 games whining about not getting the kinds of calls he got in that 5 game stretch

both instances are likely more than what he'll finish with as a season average

Just need healthy team, gone way to long without a pg on the team. If we were really concerned about making push for playoffs then we would have signed another PG, this tells me they aren’t upset either way knowing this is best draft class in 20 years

We hopefully they are for after our injured players return so you can get your moneys worth.

A bunch of that is tanking. Sitting players for losses or possible trades. Not sure that isn't the case now either, But to your point I agree, A number of these players are not really expected to be available much.

as I said, some of Grant's missed games were tanking. I don't believe there was much, if any, tanking with Thybulle and Timelord; those guys are the opposite of durable. Scoot sure appears to be an injury magnet; he missed G League games too. Can't count on a 70 game season for either Jrue or Dame. Clingan? He's missed 21 games so far in 1.3 seasons. That's probably in the 'expected' range for somebody his size. Sharpe hasn't been the picture of health either

Toumani is definitely durable. Deni as well although the football-like way he plays basketball might catch up to him

IDK? Seems like a bunch of games missed would not have happened if the team was trying to really win games. Players play hurt all the time when there is a real season at stake.
