Game Thread 2025-26 GAME #4 - BLAZERS @ LAKERS - MONDAY - OCTOBER 27, 2025 - 7:30 PM - KUNP - BLAZERVISION (13 Viewers)

I don't know how they'd do if the Lakers had James and or Luka, but I'll take the W now.
My guess is Luka would have taken a lot of shots away from Reaves, Hachi, Ayton and Vanderbilt. Blazers would've scored about 6 to 8 more with Luka's shitty defense.

Blazers play a lot better with Thybulle too.

Dude on here saying Chauncey was a better coach than Splitter.
Correct me if I'm wrong. Splitter has been coach for 4 days which the team played 3 games and they won 2 of them.

There was an issue with the primary feed early on. It was on a backup line while the primary transmission line was being addressed. Once a new fiber transport path was created the feed was switched over. Did the broadcast seem to clear up or was it that way all night?

Yes, it seemed to.

Thanks for the reply.

The game was blacked out for me, so I'm going by the box score. A good example of why the +/- stat can be deceiving.
Deni was a -1, while DC was a +21, and Shae was a +21

Playing with the 2nd unit can hurt your stats.

If they ever remake White Men Can't Jump, the Woody Harrelson role is his.
Glad he wore a headband, though, because otherwise I couldn't tell the difference between him, LaRavia and Knecht.

One complaint I have with the Lakers uniforms (other than they're laker uniforms) is it was damn near impossible to tell what jersey # the player was wearing.

This is pretty typical of the criticisms of +/- - you're literally saying "I didn't watch the game, so I have no way of knowing, but I'm going to say +/- sucks anyway"

Maybe he was the better coach but his buddies in Italian mafia told him he had to lose some of those 250 losses ;)

huh? Shaedon has been terrible this season that’s enough said
In the past Sharpe rarely forced shots and he rarely took bad shots. I think he’s pressing his teammates know what he’s capable of doing and Jrue post game once again said Sharpe is special. It will turn around for him soon.

I said same thing about Deni last year, it’s just a matter of time. The thing we don’t want is for Sharpe to pull back and go into passive mode again. If we can win with him shooting this bad we will be even better when he turns the corner. Good part for Sharpe is his defense is getting better 4 steals last night and I think 7 rebounds. Find a way to contribute even when shots not falling.

Don't want him to go into "passive mode" either but shooting/settling for too many low percentage 3's is a kind of a passive mode, be aggressive and drive to the hoop or get a mid range shot, get more confidence and the 3's will come and be selective on them.

His money spot is elbow also someone else mentioned it but he should really work on post game with his elevation he could be deadly in post area.

I still think his shot mechanics are good but he’s rushing his 3’s and looks like he doesn’t believe they are going to go in so they don’t. His handles definitely need to improve and I would be willing to bet he goes left 75-80% of the time on drives which makes it tougher shot.

I don't think I said that the +/- stat sucks. I look at it all the time. I was just acknowledging that it can be deceiving. Tell me if I was wrong in saying Deni had a better game than Shae last night. (despite their huge +/- difference)

By what standard are you judging Shae's game? Yes his shot remains broken, but that doesn't mean he can't have a positive impact. He got a buncha steals (and TOs, admittedly) and maybe his mere presence distorts defenses because they have to focus on him allowing easier shots for our other players. One thing I will say is that he's constantly moving - he's not going to the corner and standing with his hands up calling for the ball. If anything I noticed our other players missing him a few times when he was cutting.

Well, he's half a Pippen. People forget that Scottie could score, too. He's this generations Pen. He may be more like Pistons Rodman, before he just exclusively focused on rebounding.
Pippen wasn't exactly a scorer in his 3rd season. Pippens bread and butter was his defense, not his scoring.

Yeah, I did not say that either. I did not even come close to saying anything negative about Shae. My statement was about the +/- stat.

But since I didn't see the game and you appear to have, tell me if I am wrong.....who played better....... Deni (-2) or Shae (+21)?
Hell, even if your answer is Shae, the stat is still deceiving.

I've always thought he should model his game after Kobe who thrived in the midrange.

Give Camara time. The defense, the way he moves even, look exactly like Pippen out there. I think he’ll put together some more offense to go with it in a couple more years.
