Oh can we keep the little guy working the game with Lamar tonight? I like his patter. Very classic timbre. I could listen to him call 30 seasons of Blazers ball. He's only going to get better with age.

What's his name? Calabro's substitute for tonight.

Scott Foster doesn't want the Blazers to win by drawing fouls. We're not the underdog, and we're not at home. That's not an entertaining NBA product. We have to win by overwhelming them.

That has nothing to do with why I’m not a big fan of him. And it’s ridiculous to hold that Seattle grudge.
I’m not a fan of his overall vibe. He comes across as arrogant & stuffy & old & boring.
Good point; sorry about the Seattle thing.

Lamar is better as a more serious knowledge guy. I feel like Calabro tries to play the grump, to make him the optimistic guy. This guy seems comfortable being a bit more Fozzy Bear.

two decades with the sonics. that's his identity. he's very good at what he does. he's done well calling blazer games. i don't understand the hate / celebrating his absence.
Calabro is fine. I don't hate him as a person. I just like this guy more. He seems hungry for the game, or at least the opportunity.

A national sports caster made an interesting observation. He stated that a great player has never come from the G league. Many have been drafted high. have to agree with him I cannot think of one. College still best proving ground for nba players. Many international players attend American universities. The G league was not a good proving ground for players.

The veterans were supposed to give the young guys who don't make it into college a better competition, but now the old guys *are* the guys who didn't make it into college *or* the NBA, so it's just worse than college.

Ooftah. Not too good. I think Scoot needs to start in front of Jrue. And Yang’s sky hook…smfh. How do you airball a 4 foot shot?

Great start to the quarter and then we just let them right back in.

We need our guys to put it on these Jazz players and not let up.
