A national sports caster made an interesting observation. He stated that a great player has never come from the G league. Many have been drafted high. have to agree with him I cannot think of one. College still best proving ground for nba players. Many international players attend American universities. The G league was not a good proving ground for players.
Kris Middleton went from g league to an all-star and NBA champ.

Ace will likely be averaging 20+ in a couple years. Super athletic, long.

This is a W but this is an ugly W against a team waving the white flag and for 2 to 2 1/2 quarters maybe a little more you looked avg to below average.

If I am Splitter I say -- You might have gotten a W but we should have run away with this ..... have a good rest but when you return get your head out of your ass and try to not let this shit happen again for the rest of the season specially IF you guys want to be in the running for the play in -- period

I think we learned one thing tonight: That if the Blazers are clearing spots on the roster for Love and Cissoko, one of the players that's going to be let go is Blake Wesley.

I like all three of them, but Wesley seems to be the odd one out.

Clingan - 23 pts; 18 reb; 7 ast; 3 blks; 0 turnovers. I was really wrong about that guy prior to his draft. I still don't want him shooting many three's, but he's really developing into a monster in the paint, and he still only 21 (for 10 more days)

Portland is a turnover factory; they were lucky that Utah is one as well

We have a 5.5 game lead on the 11th place Grizzlies who are tanking. Mavs on 9 game losing streak. We are in the play-in.

Eyes wide open. Dude is a 12th man type. It is embarrassing we are playing him so many minutes.
I remember years we had Mario Herzonja and Kurt Thomas ghost starting.

I like our depth this season way more than most years. Sidy is good for a 12th/13th man. He was signed as a two way - which is 16-18th man. Bizarre that you are on such a crusade against a guy on the end of our roster that is able to provide some minutes without killing the team. That all it takes to be a success with the two way spots. It's not like we gave up a draft pick or handed him a big contract. We gave up nothing at all to sign him.

Biggest hole in the Blazers lineup isn't 3rd string wings like Sidy. It's our third string center. Especially with Timelord sitting all back to backs. We could have really used a TJD type of option. Yang isn't close to ready. If Clingan ever sits out we could be in trouble.
