Have to give new owner a few years to turn the shit around after a decade of debacle. I hope he listens to ALL offers for ANY player. Even Deni. Deni is not a first option. Great player but teams will deal with him because of his horrible propensity for losing the ball. Factor in the bad back?

Are the other turnover leaders not great first options either?
You have the ball in your hands a lot, and you attack the hoop, you're going to get a lot of turnovers.
If you're really good at getting fouled, you're going to get a lot of free throws too.

one issue with that is assist/turnover. Deni & Brown are the only guys in that list well below a ratio of 2.0

the other thing is that Jokic is amazing

When people share what teams records are while so in so player is out with an injury doesn’t mean anything to me. Was our roster and opponent the exact same for all the players? Tuff to judge a team while a player is out if OTHER players are missing and you play the Thunder and Spurs and not the Jazz and Wizards right?

If you think Deni is remotely close to Luka or Jokic or Cade, then I dont know what to tell you. Those are mvp candidates on contenders. Deni is a one time all star on a garbage team.

fucking free throw brick after free throw brick....we lose so many games at the charity stripe! When Deni, Scoot and Clingan can't make buckets we're in trouble...Deni is shooting 31% from 3

You can no longer say you have never typed "LOL" on a post.
I'm incredibly saddened by this acute vacillation in your posting manner. In the future you might consider an inquisitive surrogate to emblematize laughing at a ludicrous post.

Gonna send out a missing persons report after it takes 3 weeks for HCP to look up these words.

On the same token, how many losses came when Portland didn't have Shaedon, Deni, Jerami, Scoot or Jrue?
And Dame. That might seem like splitting hairs because we knew he'd be out this year. Well, when has Embiid played a full season? Injured players missing games is a thing unless we're playing Strat-O-Matic.

Terrible terrible loss. Worst look of the season. Ouch. That one stung.
In all fairness i might be to blame. My tix went to a hard core Mavs fan I worked with.
He brought the Mav power or something.

Just an ugly ugly game. Hard to watch.
We played good defense and it was tied in the last couple minutes. It sucked we lost and there were injuries but it wasn’t the worst loss of the year. Now if we lose to Washington….

but that's kind of the problem with mediocre teams. They have trouble sustaining good play from game to game. They can shoot 42% on three's one game; shoot 23% the next. Have 9 turnovers one game; have 24 the next game. Control the boards one game; allow the opponent 17 offensive rebounds the next.

teams made up of inconsistent role players tend to play inconsistently. Even Portland's best player is inconsistent. Deni scored 20 last night on 15 shots, but he missed 5 of 9 FT's and had only 6 assists vs 5 turnovers, and 3 of those turnovers came in clutch time. It's always a game of whack-a-mole that usually results in as many losses as wins.

since Jan. 22, the Blazers are 14-16. That doesn't look too bad. But, 11 of those 14 wins have come against the worst teams in the league:

Memphis - 3 wins
Utah - 2 wins
Indiana - 2 wins
Brooklyn - 2 wins
Chicago
Milwaukee

and in the 3 wins they played Philly without Embiid; Phoenix without Booker, Brooks, and Allen; Minny without Edwards & Reid. That's not to say that Portland didn't play well in those games and haven't been dealing with injuries too. Just that their resume is a lot closer to lottery than playoffs; mediocre
Resume? Wins over OKC, Denver, Cleveland. 3 against healthy Warriors. 2 against Rockets.

so what?...they just lost to Dallas, at the Moda, in a game they needed to win. Blazers have a losing record; they are a half game above the 10th seed; 18 of 30 NBA teams have better records. Portland is the only team in the top-10 seeds of the WC with a net negative point differential. Of the 20 NBA teams in both conferences in the playoff/play-in seeding, only two have net negative point differentials: Philly at -0.3 and Portland at -1.3.

beating Denver in October and OKC in the first week of November is meaningless at this point in the season. So is beating the 10th seed 3 times in 2025

Funny because that’s my Finals pick. Blazers vs Sixers. Dallas has talent. Can’t win them all. There are no “need to win” games until 2 weeks from now. We’ve already clinched the play-in. If we win all these remaining games and lose in the play-in, who gives a fuck. I know the upcoming games vs the Clippers are “important” but I’d rather lose both and beat them in play-in rather than the reverse. Must win games are coming in 2.5 weeks. Suns, Clips, Warriors. Gotta beat 1 or 2 of those teams to advance. Nothing else matters now.

Meh. Semantics. It was one of the worst games of the season. Im almost as optimistic as you but that game as really hard to watch.
