Who will be on the 2026-27 opening night roster?



Will the Blazers bring back both Thybulle and Williams, their primary Free Agents?

Will the Blazers try to make a big splash and go after a big name like Giannis? Who would you be willing to give up? Scoot? Sharpe?

Who is most likely to be traded? Grant? Holliday?

Is anyone safe? Dame?

With the new ownership, I expect this to be a busy off season.

With the way RWIII played in these playoffs some team is going to through some money at him would be my guess and he will be gone. Blazers might roll out the slowest center combinations in years.

Id like them to mostly stay pat but shop grant, Murray and picks for one more star/ allstar.

I've been a Blazer fan for over 50 years. I want to see this franchise take a few risks. Swing big. Push the chips in. And I think now is the time with new ownership.

I'm no cap expert, but here's one scenario I'd propose:
- Trade for Giannis (outgoing: Grant, Sharpe, Murray, Hansen, Mil picks)

- Resign R Williams and M Thybulle using Bird Rights to go over the cap.

- Use the MLE to sign a shooter. Potential target: L Kennard (47.8% 3pt)

- Use the BAE to sign a big.



Let's shake some things up and have some fun. I'm tired of the mediocrity.

Cheap rookie contract with a thriving Chinese audience behind him. Every reason for any organization to ask for him a trade if they are starting over.

Nope. If the trade happens after July 1, Grant+Sharpe is more than enough.

GA: $58.5M (so Portland would have to send out a minimum of $46.8M [$58.5/1.25=$46.8]

Grant: $34.2M
Sharpe: $20.1M

Together, they make $54.3M -> which is enough salary ballast. No one else needs to be included.

Grant ($34.2M) + Scoot ($13.5M) would also be enough salary ballast ($47.7M)

It all depends how attached MIL is to controlling their draft picks. Giannis also has only 1 year left under team control. He is going to have some leverage to dictate his next destination and the Bucks are probably going to want to help him get to a good place because he is a franchise legend. Get Giannis to 32nd & Glisan for the first weekend in October, and he will be wearing Red & Black in no time.
