Pretty remarkable. I am a cautious believer. I am so fragile mentally and too afraid of commitment. I have been burned too many times by Blazer teams failing in the playoffs in recent history. The Blazers and I need couples counseling. Any recommendations?

Well, that took all the pressure off. In a way, the Blazers couldn't have gotten to the playoffs without MIXUM declaring the season over.

Yeah, I caught a bit of courtside. They were talking about how before the Wallace trade we were one win and eight losses against playoff teams (Think in the west?) and now with Wallace we were six wins and two losses, and they felt that the one loss he hit like 40 pts, the other was a Laker game we just did not close out. That is pretty damn good ball.

We're 14-8 since acquiring Wallace (.638).

That's a little deceptive, though. We had a nice little 6 game win streak right before the acquisition, but it was against a really easy schedule. Then we had an 8 game stretch of .500 ball where we were still trying to figure out how Wallace fit in--he was only playing 31 mpg.

Portland is 7-3 (.700) in their last 10 games, with wins over the Spurs (twice), Lakers, Dallas and OKC. Given that there were three back-to-backs and the quality of the opponents they beat, I'd say Portland is playing better right now than they have all season. And that's without Camby really contributing like he was early in the year.

This is definitely the stride I wanted to see us hit going into the playoffs. Thank christ we're not facing Golden State in the first round.
