Portland Trail Blazers first-round pick Anfernee Simons (IMG Academy) flashed his potential during his NBA G League assignment with the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario, averaging 17.3 points in 22.7 minutes while shooting 48% from three-point range!
I hope he's got some PG in him because it will be quite a while before he is big/bulked up enough to play SG.

A mole feeling for ants with its snout...Simons is all PG. That's why I saw a future starter in Summer League. He dribbles around, patiently looking to pass, like a mole feeling for ants with its snout. The opposite is Trent, who is thinking at all times, minimize the patience and just shoot.
Every summer, some people here ridicule anyone drawing serious conclusions from SL and call it meaningless, but I get a lot out of it. SL showed me weaknesses of Meyers Leonard and McCollum years before such talk became fashionable.
Leonard is a pretty good dunker.. ?

DAMIAN LILLARD
"There’s athleticism, there’s elite athleticism and then there’s what he can do."
Lillard's running scared about his replacement at PG.
Scared players don't mentor young players like Dame does. He isn't scared of anything.Lillard's running scared about his replacement at PG.
Kid is very young and humble. Quiet, shy kid, but very polite.
During shoot around at OKC, the guys were trying to get him to do another big dunk. He was acting all shy and finally went up and put a real basic dunk down. Bunch of the players started booing him and throwing balls at him. Very funny. Kid is very young and humble. Quiet, shy kid, but very polite.
Trying to think of a decent comp for Simons. Tallish, skinny, high flying point guard that can also shoot...
Livingston? I don't think it's a good comp - or at least it's way too early to tell - but tall, skinny PG fits. Also, not sure if Simons is a PG?Trying to think of a decent comp for Simons. Tallish, skinny, high flying point guard that can also shoot...
.........we got some moles up in here. Some spies monitoring The HCP.......trying to mix em up and let em know I know they are here.Change the name back, or unless you can't, pick a new one.
I'm waiting for him to show one of those dunks in game time. I just hope he doesn't have a chance for one and goes up for a pedestrian dunk.

That's my favorite quote from the ones you posted.

Yeah, as I recall it was Trent who was setting G-league records, not Simons. From Quicks chat yesterday

Not sure about “tore up the g league” but it’s nice to read anyway.
