Then you have the waiver trade deadline which is where you can usually get some guys but have to be willing to eat money.

...yeah, but I'm hoping (probably in vain) that the Yanx make a big splash and make a legit push for the PS...I do think there will be ay least one big deal, but whether or not it involves the Yanx, who knows?

...If there are any blockbuster deals, I think the big moves will come via any and/or all of a group consisting of Philly, LA, Boston, Seattle, and the Yanx.

Just finished watching the Giants & Pirates game. Rumors are that the Giants in dire need of a 2nd baseman are in the running for Chase Utley. He's almost 36 & hasn't played a full season since 09 but I'd love to see him either as a Giant or in pinstripes.
