16 was MUCH better than 17 and 18. 19 is getting back on track. Right now it's pretty great. I LOVE the takeover badge. Euro steps are a little harder to do but I'm adjusting. There are some great new animations.

Nope but apparently I can trade DeAndre for Ingram. Won’t do it as it’s not realistic at all.

Dallas are a fun rebuild because you can actually play with them seriously in the first season. Dirk is plenty fun, Jordan is good and both backcourt young stars are great. Barnes and Matthews are also ready now players, you don’t actually need to tank.

I’ve been playing the Blazers vs the Nuggets on whatever the difficulty is just beneath hall of fame and it’s really hard to slow them down.
I haven’t quite mastered Dames shot, but CJ is magical in this game.

I deleted fortnight. Haven't played rocket league for a couple weeks. I really only play that with my son and we've been on that FIFA lately.
 
So far I’m really liking the Blazer squad in 2k. Except I can’t find Trent(?). Is he not on their roster?
 
@dviss1 Thanks for the recommendation. Really enjoying it. Only played for a couple hours so far as I ended up having to act like an adult heh. It's fun though. I haven't jumped into MyPlayer yet, but Dame in that PNR with Nurk is $$$.
 
What difficulty are you playing? Last year I was Superstar all the time but this year I feel All-Star is more balanced. I have only upgraded CPU’s defensive awareness from 40 to 50 and it plays beautiful.

It has become a bit too easy after a few games this morning as I was beating Toronto with Dallas too easily so I made a mesh up between All-Star and Superstar. CPU isn’t good enough at All-Star but your players also become worse at Superstars (as some sliders are at 48, especially for offensive and defensive success rates) so I gave CPU sliders from Superstar and kept All-Star sliders for myself.

Even better now.

I will turn up the difficulty soon I think. I tried a couple games at superstar and it felt like the cpu made pretty much everything they shot no matter how good or bad the defense was. I’ll get better.

I think the problem is not with offense sliders but defense being downgraded to 48 on Superstar.

Protip: There is no auto shot contest. You have to make sure you contest shots manually (right stick). So in other words " hand down, man down".

I’m actually loving that part of the game, except with slow players they seem to get caught in some of the slowest animations while the offensive player walks by them. It makes defense more of a skill game though.

It also makes cpu defenders pretty easy to screw with with, I like getting my guards in mismatches and letting them go to work.

This game is good! Much better than I expected, it’s got. A lot more complexities to it than NBA live. I wish VC wasn’t a thing, or as prevalent but it hasn’t really bothered me yet.
 
@BonesJones I know Nurk is only a 79 and how CJ doesn't have ankle breaker badge at all (let alone the GOLD one he should have), but Nurk actually plays better. On 18 he couldn't set an on ball screen to save his life. This game he's a much better player despite his ranking. Though the Devs don't seem to have a clue when it comes to badge assignment.

CJ should have the Closer badge and All KINDS of shooting badges he doesn't have.

I love that part. You make a slight mistake on D and you get punished for it. Leaving your feet and going for on ball steals can put you right out of position. It's great for the skills gap people.

Conversely, Defense is MUCH easier to play.

As a ballhandler you can't just run through the D and keep the ball like on 18. Bump steals happen and I love the new animations for them. This game is so great but maybe that's because I'm comparing it to 18 so much.

CJ is my favorite blazer in this game, he should be better, but he can really go off. I still haven’t gotten Dames shot down very well, but The Dame / Nurk pnr is lethal.
 
Giannis is so incredible in this one. They usually bump up the cover players but he’s just unbelievable, then again he’s that way in real life as well.

Started an 82-game MyLeague with Bucks and trying to build around him. Middleton is plenty fun too, Bledsoe isn’t bad and they got some more talent like Brogdon, Lopez and Ilyasova. Fun team for sure. I got Hill and Richardson to run the second unit.

Shooting is so much better than in 18.

The My Career has a couple of issues. They need to make it so you can sprint anywhere. Also, in practice and in your house you should be able to change things like your animations.

Makes no sense for me to have to go outside to enter the jump shot creator.
