Schmitz vast international knowledge could really help in the 2nd round. I think we might trade the #7, so finding a Terry Porter, Cliff Robinson, Kevin Duckworth, Jerome Kersey, etc would be huge in terms of adding much needed talent to this roster.

Beauchamp?
Nzosa?
Isivic?
Miller?
Procida?
Diabate?
Badji?
Mohammed?

Give me some Andrew Nembhard. Insanely good defensive player, good size at the PG spot, great floater. Needs work on his outside game. His shot is a little funky. But he was one of my favorite Zag players in recent memory and there was no flash to him. Just heady play and a dawg defensively.

Billups would love him.

Well our new Assistant GM supposedly has one of the most complete scouting databases around the planet so I'm guessing he's got a wish list of unsung 2nd rounders..he also knows a lot about every bench player in the league who's either a bad fit or unused across the league...I'm stoked about hiring him. He knows the US, Latin America, European and African players...this is going to be a real asset for the front office when it comes to building a contender with a future...front office with a cap specialist and a talent evaluation specialist is a good combination. Schmidz is plugged into the league already...probably has an impressive network given his career arc and how successful he's been

I think he's been very smart on how he's approached his career and stayed unbiased and very professional. This helped him get an opportunity that many in the sports media would dream of, he wasn't just another sports media jockey. He was focused on a segment of the industry that requires objective analysis.

1. Leonard Miller, Canada
2. Yannick Nzosa, Congo
3. Ibou Dianko Badji, Senegal

Length and athleticism. Development and time needed.

4. Gabrielle Procida, shooter, Italy [Edited/Added: Would love to get him at 36. Isn't like the above athletic bigs, but he's both dunk aggressive and nails from 3.]

HUGE, very athletic, monster wingspan, wants to dunk everything, but outside of that, finishes very poorly. Would love getting him with the later 2nd round pick or as an UDFA.

Yes I would say he definitely has a monster wingspan (7'8")
I definitely want to use a 2nd round pick on a center.

Dianko Badji showed very little development and still looks like a deer in the headlights. Think Cheikh Samb.

Timme’s skill/iq over Dianko all day

I would be happy with any of those at #57 Per https://nbadraftroom.com/p/2022-2nd-round/., Miller is at #41, Procida at #43, Badji #57 (to Blazers) and Nzosa, an UDFA at #64. Oddly enough, Nzosa was a projected Lottery pick earlier in the year in some mock's.

Early in the season (check the draft thread) I thought Eason was the guy that I thought would stay under the radar - he’s now a lock to be a lotto pick.

Mid/late I focus on high skill level - as unathletic as he may be - he’s a high skill/high IQ big.

The ghost of Luis Scola
I agree. I think he will give a workman like performance every night, and be very advantageous to our team. He's a good free throw shooter, and has a nice touch. Granted it was college, but he saved his best for last, and to me, was Gonzaga's best player. Not the "Legend in his own mind" guy.

I believe Manu Ginobilli was a second round pick. Dennis Rodman, Nick Van Exel second round. Wasn't Draymond Green?

Wes Mathews and Trendon Watford weren't even drafted....

Timme:
6'8.25” barefoot
6'9.25” in shoes
7'2.0” wingspan
8'11.5” standing reach
231.6 lbs

Watford:
6'7.5” Barefoot
6'8.75” in shoes
7'2.25” wingspan
8'9.0”standing reach
237.4 lbs

The one thing I really like about this kid is that at 7'3", he doesn't look proportionately like a 7-footer. Without the other people in the video, I might have thought this was a 6'4" kid throwing down on a nine-foot hoop. Unlike most ultra-big guys, he just looks like he's built to last.

there's more fluidness to him compared to Boban. But shooting against air is different than the NBA. Nurk looks like a three point king in practice.

True. And that's why at 19 and 7'3" he's still just a 2nd-round prospect. But if he's there at 57...why not?

I'll be very interested in who they draft in the 2nd round, but I'll be judging them more on their decision to dump CJ2.

He looks slow as fuck but he does seem proportionately correct. But, so, so slow.
