"In fresh tests of the Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action weapon, supervised by the Italian army, it was found to be impossible for even an accomplished marksman to fire the shots quickly enough."

But the comedian's marksmen could do it "easily"? Give me a break

"Oswald, as a Marine, barely managed to qualify at all with a rifle, obtaining a score of 191, which was one point above the minimum needed for the lowest qualification level "Marksman". To put it another way, he came within two points of failing..."

"If I had to pick one man in the whole United States to shoot me, I'd pick Oswald. I saw the man shoot." Sherman Cooley, who served with Oswald in the Marines.

This line of debate is a waste of time when you have E. Howard Hunt admitting he was involved in assassinating Kennedy.

E. Howard Hunt, the CIA leader of the Plumbers, who robbed the Democratic National headquarters in the Watergate Hotel, was long rumored to have been involved in the JFK assassination.

Before dying in 2007, Hunt not only confessed to his son that he was a "benchwarmer" in the JFK assassination--his son has HOURS OF TAPES with Hunt talking about it. You can look it all up. This is just an introduction.

Hunt gave his son the unusual name of Saint John.

Kennedy might have been popular with the regular joes, but he was not a popular guy with the CIA, the Join Chiefs, or the mafia. Those are some pretty powerful dudes to have pissed off at you. It's all just too perfect for it to have been Oswald.

Watch the video, he uses the same make of rifle and does get off the shots even faster than Oswald did. I think that's is the far more compelling evidence that even a comedian can do it.

As for the accuracy of the weapon, the guy from the gun club took his 23 guys out in the desert and 19 made 3 of 3 shots while Oswald missed one of the three.

When the conspiracy theorists say stuff, they're making assertions. When Penn does recreations of the scenario on film and you can see it with your eyes, he's not making any assertion.

These conspiracy theories (like the 9/11 ones, too) thrive on assertions that seem believable on the surface. Put to scrutiny of even a comedian, though, they prove to be false assertions.

Yeah Penn's evidence is pretty strong.

Whereas conspiracy theories are usually bogus.

You cannot lead he who will not see.

Or something like that.

The smoking gun was finally found in 2007, in the form of a confession.

Lots of people confess to crap they didn't do. Did he offer up any evidence? A reason? Someone alive who will verify his story?

.

This is verging on silly now. No one is "alleging" anything. If you actually take the time to look at the facts, the evidence is compelling that more than 1 person shot JFK.

I have a very good friend is now completing 5 years of work, making a documentary about about the Warren Commission. He has been through it all with a fine tooth comb. The Commission was bogus, the single bullet theory was a scam, and some very powerful people set Oswald up as puppet.

Even Oswald said, "I'm just a patsy!" It's not an allegation, it is a conclusion based on facts. Just look at jlprk's Hunt links for starters. Read Mark Lane's Rush to Judgment.

"In August, 1978, Victor Marchetti published an article about the assassination of John F. Kennedy in the liberty Lobby newspaper, Spotlight. In the article Marchetti argued that the House Special Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) had obtained a 1966 CIA memo that revealed E. Howard Hunt, Frank Sturgis and Gerry Patrick Hemming had been involved in the plot to kill Kennedy."

And Hunt confessed to it. BTW, deathbed confessions are considered incredibly reliable in the law.

My evidence professor said it is the same, as does the FRE

"The declarant’s statement was made while under the belief that his death was imminent"

Just because it can be used as evidence doesn't mean it's true.

And just because he wanied until the end of his life to say anything doesn't give it any more creditability or validity than if he had said it 10 years earlier.

For 43 years they said, "I don't care how many thousands of pages of evidence you have. You have no smoking gun, no confession, no name."

Then, came forth the head of the Plumbers. He confessed to being part of it.

Then they said, "It was only E. Howard Hunt? That's nothing, any bum in the street can confess to anything. I don't care whether you have a taped confession from the most famous person known to have been involved in similar secret matters. Now, I require corroboration, written documents, a second witness, a TV-worthy motive involving sex, and...well, I'll think of more if you find those."

It just makes too much sense to kill off Kennedy. He and Bobby weren't playing by the rules.
