E. Howard Hunt, the CIA leader of the Plumbers, who robbed the Democratic National headquarters in the Watergate Hotel, was long rumored to have been involved in the JFK assassination.
Before dying in 2007, Hunt not only confessed to his son that he was a "benchwarmer" in the JFK assassination--his son has HOURS OF TAPES with Hunt talking about it. You can look it all up. This is just an introduction.

Hunt gave his son the unusual name of Saint John.

"In fresh tests of the Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action weapon, supervised by the Italian army, it was found to be impossible for even an accomplished marksman to fire the shots quickly enough."
But the comedian's marksmen could do it "easily"? Give me a break

You cannot lead he who will not see.
Or something like that.
The smoking gun was finally found in 2007, in the form of a confession.
When the conspiracy theorists say stuff, they're making assertions. When Penn does recreations of the scenario on film and you can see it with your eyes, he's not making any assertion.
.
And Hunt confessed to it. BTW, deathbed confessions are considered incredibly reliable in the law.
You're thinking of a dying declaration which is not the same as a deathbed confession.

My evidence professor said it is the same, as does the FRE
"The declarant’s statement was made while under the belief that his death was imminent"
Lots of people confess to crap they didn't do. Did he offer up any evidence? A reason? Someone alive who will verify his story?
