GOP rep. received threatening email with subject line 'One down, 216 to go...' after lawmaker shooting

The office of Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) received a threatening email with the subject line “One down, 216 to go…,” shortly after a shooter opened fire on GOP lawmakers who were at a congressional baseball practice, according to her office.

The person who sent the email then wrote in the body of the email, "Did you NOT expect this?"

"Did you NOT expect this? When you take away ordinary peoples very lives in order to pay off the wealthiest among us, your own lives are forfeit. Certainly, your souls and morality were lost long before. Good riddance,” the email said.

There was more than enough ongoing propaganda it took to rile up this person .

What an asshole! He blurted this out!

In his White House statement, Trump praised Scalise as a "friend," a "patriot," and a "fighter," saying he would make a full recovery and that Washington, the country, and the world were praying for him.

Trump also praised the police officers who were wounded at the scene.

"Many lives would have been lost without the heroic actions of the two Capitol Police officers who took down the gunman despite sustaining gunshot wounds during a very, very brutal assault," Trump said. "Melania and I are grateful for their heroism and praying for the swift recovery of all victims."

He added that the police's "sacrifice makes democracy possible."

"Everyone on that field is a public servant: our courageous police, our congressional aides, who work so tirelessly behind the scenes with enormous devotion, and our dedicated members of Congress, who represent our people," Trump said. "We may have our differences, but we do well in times like these to remember that everyone who serves in our nation's capital is here because, above all, they love our country.

"We are strongest when we are unified," he added.

Right out of the DNC Play book...blame the victim, make those at fault to be the true victims
So, not following you here... where is the DNC blaming the victims? I don't really see this as a political issue to be honest. Some dude shot some innocent people for his own twisted reasons. Sure, the country's divided, but no need to blame a political party for this crap (or for threats to others).

It's clearly politically motivated. You can't separate out the nut job from his nut job politics.

Finally, Trump says something I absolutely agree with. Now if only he would make a simple effort to unify this country instead of bending over backwards to divide it. People who have no hope do desperate and despicable things. Like electing a buffoon......

Care to point that out and back it up?

Doubt it.

Hm, let me use something a conservative used on a liberal in this thread.
Just because you don't like the answer, doesn't make it less true.

The mere fact once again it matters more about proving the party you(generalizing) don't support is in the wrong is more important than the act is just shameful.

Continue to let them divide you. I have no interest in giving people power over me, by allowing them to dictate my thoughts.

Might be a bit irresponsible but I'm getting the same vibe I did when dude killed 5 officers in Dallas. It's all political. This society we are currently in is just nuts man, Kathy griffin holding up trumps head, it's kinda cool to be violent towards people you don't agree with these days I noticed. It's fucked, I think we have so many people who walk around with mental disorders that aren't diagnosed. That's how extreme people are on both sides. It's weird. Really fucking weird and it's terrifying for the future of this country, youth, all that.

The SAME MFs trippin off of Kathy Lee are the SAME hypocrites who were silent when about shit like this:

Kathie Lee Gifford?

Or Kathy Griffin?

Or do they all look alike? ;)

Sounds like this guy was a disciple of Rand Paul:

“Why do we have a Second Amendment? It’s not to shoot deer. It’s to shoot at the government when it becomes tyrannical!”

— Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), on Twitter, June 23, 2016.

Pretty sure that was literally part of why they created the second amendment.

It's impossible. People are butthurt about losing and won't give that up. They wanted Trump impeached before he even took office. How do you unify with that?

I've never had herpes but I know I don't want it.

Out of full disclosure I must report the following leftist hate on my Twitter feed:

People are butthurt about losing and won't give that up
no...that's a tired schpiel...people don't trust Trump because of what he tweets and how he conducts himself......being concerned is the word...not butthurt.
