Exclusive 5 people shot at baseball field in Alexandria, VA

Hesitate to post this vile vitriol from my Twitter Feed:

Good for Pelosi. However, while I appreciate and agree with the sentiment of unity in denouncement of the act, and would love to see an end to partisan divisiveness, I have to wonder: if in fact they were targeted because they were Republicans, isn't it kind of dismissive to say that "on days like today, there are no Democrats or Republicans"?

It somewhat reminds me of how--a year ago--it was super important to point out that the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting were LGBT, and it was considered disrespectful and even bigoted to talk about empathy for the victims and their families without acknowledging the reason that they were fired upon.

You know what, Denny, you're right. It's dangerous for me to read things that make me angry. So can you change the settings on this forum so I can put you on ignore? I think we'd all benefit.

I'm not the one suggesting we get rid of (insert name here, Trump in your case) AT (almost) ALL COSTS.

I think free speech is free speech. Inciting riots or someone to violence is still a crime. With Rights come Consequences for your actions.

Wow, that was so empty an answer you could be Jeff Sessions. Oops, my bad, that comment was hateful wasn't it? Apologies in advance if I've triggered any violent nutcases.

Of course, neither am I, but don't let that stop you. And I'm totally serious about the ignore stuff. Please make it happen.

Rep. Mark Walker says gunman targeted congressional baseball practice 'to kill as many Republican members as possible'

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.)
recounted an "odd" encounter he had as he was leaving the field just minutes before the shooting: "There was a guy that walked up to us that was asking whether it was Republicans or Democrats out there, and it was just a little odd," DeSantis told Fox News.

Oh come on. I gave you the answer, too bad you didn't like it.

Like it's fine to own a gun. It's not fine to shoot someone with it (except for FEW exceptions).

The people whose tweets I posted read your feed.

Funny, you have a point, and it's exactly the point that BLM activists make against "all lives matter". However, (1) we don't know that the guy who asked if they were Democrats or Republicans was the shooter yet, and (2) you know that she means "I feel for you as much as if you were the same party as me".

The good news is that the commercials I see on CNN are the same ad council ones over and over (for meals on wheels, for example). Kind of a sign they're not attracting legitimate and well paying advertisers. Of course, it's Trump's administration that's buying these ad council ads and paying for meals on wheels (for now).

Your ability to say complete bullshit with total conviction is awesome.

When you say things like this, this is my first thought of you:

And no, it's not meant as an insult.

Um, your train of thought has gone off the rails again Denny. You meant to post this in the "Senile ramblings about the Fake New MSM" thread.

Can you answer my question about whether or not you can let me put you on ignore?

Oh, that's a relief. It was just a person with a high powered rifle trying to kill lots of people, but at least it wasn't TERROR.

No, you can't. I don't ignore anyone. I'm not afraid to see what people post.

My train of thought is fine. CNN is pushing a lot of this hate. Their viewership must be down if they're having a hard time getting sponsors.

So fucking stupid. Why don't you just leave? If I want to read twitter garbage I can probably find it myself. Did you ever wonder if reading a stream of incoherent tweets by morons is good for you?

I suspect it is a way of programming people that nobody has figured out yet.

It reads like an instruction manual, every step down is some new level of stupidity.

That tweet I linked by Ryan Lizza is a perfect example but you probably didn't actually read it because it was on Breitbart. Jeb Bush (who I despise) makes a long statement and dude tweets Bush says "stuff happens" and it becomes reality to twitterzombies.

I wouldn't ask anyone to leave.

I'm not asking him to leave exactly, he just wants to create a safe space to clutter the board with tweets and let nobody respond. He wants to put you on ignore because you anger him in some bizarre way.

I think he should leave for his own good more than anything.

But I'm easily triggered, Denny. And are you saying YOU can't change any settings? Or just that you won't?

There are no settings in any message board software (that I've used) to allow regular users to ignore staff.

In today's society, you know as well as I do that what someone probably means is unfortunately never as important as how something can be interpreted (and most often misinterpreted).

And yes, I understand that it's the same as the BLM point (and the Pulse-related point I referenced), which is why I brought it up--that that line of thinking is only considered important and relevant when the victims are considered part of a marginalized group.

I'm simply pointing out the double-standard.

My 2nd reaction to this is that it's not surprising that since my posts don't fit your world view and your echo chamber, you would choose to ignore them.

SMH

Let's hope if ever someone else tries this shit, "there are no Democrats or Republicans" is the answer given to the shooter when he asks.

When I get too near to the Real Truth I get scared. I'm a blue-piller all the way.

Real in your case is "subjective." When you get to "objective" Truth, let me know. I'll be with you.

I'm not into defending Trump so much as I am looking at the utter bullshit claims being made and finding them full of holes, bad logic, lies, lies of omission, and outright hate.

I have the intellectual curiosity to look at claims made and investigate if they're true or not.

Shooter is a Bernie supporter! Calls Hillary a republican!

:MARIS61:

You know, if you want to look for them to be outraged, I'm pretty certain SOMEBODY is arguing SOMEWHERE that this is all a "false flag" operation by the Trump White House to draw attention from Trumpcare and the Russian scandal.

But then, I don't have to tell you that, because their tweets will be showing up, not in my feed, but on Breitbart, pretty soon. Maybe you can relay them and we can ALL lose faith in humanity.
