70% say America is on the wrong track

and in two weeks, it'll be a different #. Most Americans are idiots.

Most Americans started saying that during the Bush Administration. Fox News likes to find poll results from liberal rebellions and claim they are conservative rebellions.

Classic. No matter how seriously Obama screws up, it's always Bush's fault. You guys really need a new set of talking points. Nobody's buying it anymore.

Fox News likes to find poll results from liberal rebellions and claim they are conservative rebellions.
Uh, this poll was conducted by ABC News and the Washington Post, two bastions of the Left.

I guess that explains how Obama got elected in the first place.

It also explains how Bush got elected in 04, it explains how gay marriage has taken so long to be overturned/accepted, it explains why pot is still "evil", it explains why hemp isn't being used for clothing, paper, fuel, etc, it explains a lot.

It's called drinking the Kool-Aid. It blinds you to the strikingly obvious.

again, you just describe the vast majority of Americans.

So, how does it taste?

Shooter, I've been arguing with you about politics since the first Bush administration and you have been consistently oblivious to the fact that this country has been on the wrong track... unless a democrat is in charge. You're all politics. If John McCain had been elected, you'd be singing his praises and defending him tooth and nail.

I love the Republicans that say "Obama sucks" and the Democrats responding to the Republicans saying that Obama sucks with "Bush sucked first". As if it somehow makes up for the fact our current president and his admin have been terrible, and have knowingly lied to the American Public. We as a country aren't going to fix ourselves by complaining about Bush and we he did. We need to focus on the now, and how to move forward. And yes, Republicans, Obama does suck. But merely saying he sucks and crying about it doesn't fix the problem either.

You don't think maybe that some people in that survey are dissatisfied or tired of the Republicans and the Tea Party? If not, after the elections next year I think it will be clearer.

It's going to suck for some of the people on here after Hillary wins.

I'm pretty sure at this point, the American Public is pretty much fed up with pretty much all of their elected "leaders". Next year's elections will be decided by people voting for people that most reflect their beliefs, not necessarily the better candidates. I think people lose sight of this difference a lot when making their voting decisions.

The next presidential election will yield a Republican president.

Only if they drastically change their talking points or just stop talking.

Re: populace tired of elected peeps. I think they are tired of OTHER elected politicians, not their own.

Shooter, I've been arguing with you about politics since the first Bush administration and you have been consistently oblivious to the fact that this country has been on the wrong track…
For starters, you and I probably have very different notions of what it means to be "on the wrong track." For me, it means the growth of the federal government, tax increases, deficit spending, out-of-countrol illegal immigration, political correctness, loss of constitutional principles, and many other things. Those problems have been indeed getting worse over the years, and I have been fully aware of it. What is happening now however is a quantum leap forward into a black hole. And yes, I'm referring to Obama. He is the champion of all the things I mention above. He is a nightmare for the future of this country. I have no idea if the 70% of people in this poll feel the same way, but it's obvious that they think this administration is failing miserably, and if public opinion can do anything to stem the destructive reach of this administration, I am all for it.

If John McCain had been elected, you'd be singing his praises and defending him tooth and nail.
If McCain had been elected, we never would have had Obamacare. We also wouldn't have had a President who told every lie in the book to pass his signature piece of legislation. However, I am not a big McCain fan and only voted for him to help prevent this socialist, marxist idiot we now have as a president from getting into office.

Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Book it.

(just kidding, but it could happen)

And it explains why Shooter thinks the world is only 6,000 years old.

You forgot "muslim" and "kenyan"

. . . and why you believed Obama when he said, "If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it."

That most Americans still believe the party of the puppet(s) has any effect on what our government does proves most Americans are indeed uneducated and extremely gullible.

Well, since we have been refused any healthcare plan for the last 4 years due to a supposed pre-existing condition (which no longer exists) that statement never concerned me.

If you were paying for a skeleton plan that doesn't meet Obamacare's meager requirements you were pretty much throwing your money away anyway. But like you said, there's a lot of idiots out there.

Obama's wish was for a single-payer system, which is the only possible successful approach to universal quality healthcare for an entire country. That is why people voted for him. Due to republican sabotage and democrat leadership that is owned by the insurance lobby, we ended up with Hilary Clinton's healthcare plan. This was the only issue that tipped the scales to Obama from Clinton and most Dems would have voted for Clinton had they known their party was going to abandon Obama's plan for hers.

True story?

Well, bully for you! You were so angry about your own situation that you didn't care if Obama lied. It didn't matter that millions of people would get kicked out of their perfectly acceptable health plans because YOU didn't have one at all! Bravo!!

If you were paying for a skeleton plan that doesn't meet Obamacare's meager requirements you were pretty much throwing your money away anyway.
Under Obamacare's "meager requirements," 70-year-old women have to have maternity coverage, and people who don't use drugs have to be covered for addiction treatment. This is a prime example of the government thinking it knows best and getting it all wrong. There are millions of people in this country who are quite happy with their health care plans, but people like you and Obama are arrogant enough to think you can force them to buy a plan they don't want and don't need for 3 times the price of their old plan. No wonder this whole cockamamie program is falling apart.

Obama's wish was for a single-payer system, which is the only possible successful approach to universal quality healthcare for an entire country.
And yet Obama not only pushed for his system, he proudly let it carry his own name!! If he's such a brilliant guy, such a wizard at governing, why did he risk his reputation and all his political clout on a system that you say is impossible to implement?
