The following list shows Derek Jeter in 7th place with 3,420 hits. 10 behind Honus Wagner who has 3,430 hits.

Note: this list only shows Cap Anson with 3011 hits.http://www.baseball-almanac.com/hitting/hihits1.shtml

However, the baseball reference shows Jeter tied with Honus Wagner for 7th at 3,420 hits (10 less hits for Wagner). and Cap Anson placed 6th with 3,435 hits.

...meh, no biggie on way or the other...Jeter will be way past them both very soon, no matter which site you use.

Looking at that list I'm awestruck by the career Aaron and Rose had.

Yeah I know he'll definitely finish 6th, it just had me curious.

...there are a few discrepancies in official scoring of some of the players during those days. Hell, they can't even agree on what date Cap got his 3000th hit.

...I'm much more impressed with Aaron...he was strictly a RHed batter and Rose had the advantage of hitting LHed most of the time...Rose also had about 1700 more ABs than Hank did.

Also back then walks counted as hits so maybe that also has something to do with his totals.
